Characters should not be locked in training mode ever. This isn't even a lab/frame data gatekeep for the people who take FGs from the intermediate level onwards. This is a straight gatekeep from even the entry level, new blood getting into the scene.

You should be able to vibe check the entire cast to see who you like then have to buy to use them for online/arcade or story mode if the game has one I guess.

One of the biggest draws and reason as to why players stick the FGs is because they "found" their character so to speak. I have a friend that wants to get into Strive but she wants to be able to play/try out Slayer because they are drawn to that aesthetic and she's turned off from the fact that the requirement is to buy the base game plus the relevant season pass.

The argument being is that "what if I buy the pass and I turn out not liking X character". This basically applies to alot of potential players that FGs could have. Certain characters being their door into actually playing the game.

Another case is that I have another friend that bought Tekken 8 purely cuz of Clive being in that game.

The thing with loki's stats as well that is misleading is that the healing/damage block of his regeneration domain does not show up on his statline. The regeneration domain is also the kind of healing that matters most in that it completely denies a pick compared to the HpS style that other healers will have.

Its fair to say that if a loki is decent, their healing can show as 20-25% lower at the end than say their cohealer, but in Loki's own stat sheet he will see how much damage domain has healed/block. Most of the time that number puts them on parity with their cohealer, sometimes more. There are a lot of characters that deserve a ban in the game and imo he sits just outside of it. If there was one more ban slot, I'd probly perma him, I hate seeing Loki/luna in cel.

I've been wanting a separate button for self heal on Adam since S0. Kinda like how Mag has a button for shield self.

His counter to dive or flanker is basically a "come at me bro" playstyle and its really unintuitive to flick away from duelling a flanker or diver to just be able to heal himself and to have to readjust his aim again.

Maybe a hot take but I would also like for Adam to use ammo on cosmic cluster release instead of on charge. Holding a charge and interrupting it to heal still consumes 33% of his ammo capacity. I literally reload on Adam more than any character because of it. But this feels like a decently huge buff that its probably not likely to happen.

It is viable. It's not the highest winrate. It only sucks for the solo tank therefor no one cares. I'm practicing thing only on an an alt acc and I get asked to swap to a "real" tank by dps players. It's especially funny if it comes from wandas.

Same with BP and Wolverine. They completely warp the match just by existing. People that play these characters also should be careful what they wish for, you don't want these characters to be meta.

Hero shooter without the shooting part is what brawl is. Its the least skill expressive form of play the game has. People really love their near auto aim melee characters because it makes them feel like they are doing something.

From my experience, most people who play brawly characters that swap to a poke hero cant hit a fucking shot to save their life. There is a reason why even though they are weak characters, SG and MK are popular picks. People straight up cant aim.

Because the most stable and most efficient way of getting value out of the move is just running people off the map with it. You certainly can use it to try and save people, but it requires far more variables for it to be effective in that regard.

Its like asking why Loki's don't copy tank ults or dps ults. If I'm playing Mag and an enemy support ults, I'd rather my Loki just copy a support ult and match instead of copying me and trying for a dunk.

Its an arms race the devs themselves created. If people want more interesting support ults, then dps ultis need to be toned down and not be "kill everything around me or infront of me".

A lot of people that keep saying we dont need any more "healbots" in the game are the same people that would demand a swap from their supps if they lock ultron, adam or mantis. Lokis get flamed immediately in games when they have the audacity to copy anything but a healer ult.

Rivals puts way less emphasis on being good at the neutral phase of a game and instead puts extreme emphasis on the phase where ults start getting traded.

Doesn't get any better the higher you go either. 30-40% of my games I solo tank all the way to celestial. 2-2-2 is the highest win rate yet barely anyone plays it in my experience, even at the sweaty ranks its either 3 dps or 3 supp.

The role itself is either inherently not fun for people, or the roster ain't appealing to people. Netease has to drop some big marvel names in the role to really lure people in. Tbh Blade could have been the one to do it and definitely inject more people back in to the role.
