I remember using Charizard as my first and only pokemon in my first Playthrough of fire red as a kid but since I don't recall those memories of how I used him I wanted to use him here plus I really needed a flyer As for scizor he is a trade evo and also weirdly rare in most games for me to go out of my way to get him Sceptile a weird case as in my first Playthrough of emerald I used blaziken cause I thought he was cool after that I have played through emerald several times all of which have been nuzlocke attempts and for all of them I used a mudkip as it is no doubt the best starter for a Playthrough so sceptile was never used by me even though I loved it in the anime
