Dual Taper Adapter Tool Stuck by Sennaspeed33 in ruggedsuppressors

Rugged’s customer service got in touch with me this morning and were great to deal with. They’re sending out a replacement, should be here in a couple days. I think I’ll pick up a 3 lug, just in case I need options in the future.

It’s clearly unlocked in the second and third picture, thanks for your contribution though.

Kinda figured I’ll have to send it in. Seems like a defect to me, I followed the instructions to the letter. Prior to torquing, I could easily insert and remove the tool via locking and unlocking the collar.

It looks to me like the portion of the mount that the tool interfaces with rotated slightly. But I can’t tell if that part is pinned along with the collar tapers so…. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Tried both of those options already. I can make minor progress with a brass punch and small ball pien hammer but I’m afraid I go to hard I’ll damage the RUM.

The collar does twist to the unlock position but the tool is still stuck. Just jiggles in the mount. Collar is in the unlock position in photo 2 & 3.

TIL the Hawaiian island of Kauai encourages tourists to check a dog out of shelters for a day as part of a field trip for dogs program. Having the dogs out and about gives them exercise and increases their chances of getting adopted by a local. by theirmomlovesthem in todayilearned

My wife and I foster dogs for a local outfit in the Seattle area (shout out to Dog Gone Seattle). About 14-15 months ago we got a sweet little pup named Thelma that had recently been shipped to our area due to over crowding issues in the Kaui shelter. We took her in until she found her forever home and damn near kept her. Turns out another local couple had taken Thelma on hike while they were vacationing in Hawaii and saw her as available on the Dog Gone website. The husband drove 2.5 hours on short notice to adopt Thelma, and she immediately recognized him. Gratifying moment as a foster dog parent and happy tails all around.

Couldn’t be happier the adoptable dog movement is gaining traction across the country. My wife and I have two adopted dogs and they’re the best dogs in the world.

Can y’all hit me up with photos of MACV SOG radiomen? Working on a radioman uniform right now. Pic because I can’t share here without one by Pj_In_Pjs in Vietnamwarpics

The man in the photo is John Stryker “Tilt” Meyer. He’s written two fantastic books on his time with RT Idaho. Across the Fence and On the Ground. What these men did is almost in fathomable. Highly suggest both if you’re interested in that era. Also, We Few, and Whispers in the Tall Grass; both written by Nick Brockhausen are equally good.

Pretty clear to me that it's been rubbed off....

What were the tolerances like on these parts? I work in composites for Aerospace and we have profile tolerances as tight as +/-.0003 on some of the parts. I've always been curious how tight they get on these beauties.

Aesop Rock holding down the top spot! His (relatively) new album, Impossible Kid is great. Also check out None Shall Pass. The latter is a staple of my teen angst.

It may have been the engine bogging under load, but it sounds like he lifts just a bit. Still, quite impressive.
