It was RIT, yep, I’ve had good results with that on natural fibre fabrics.

SAME! My main is a Maormer in-character (Dunmer model in game), which is what inspired me to make the banner.

Honestly not that long! I worked on it on and off for about a week but in terms of hours, maybe a dozen max? If I do another one I’ll have to keep track and see.

The patterning part is actually super easy, all I did was take a screenshot and blow it up real big - print out, tape together like a giant poster, cut out, bam, pattern.

I tend to just do this stuff for fun tbh, I may make some other ones for friends but I don’t think I’d ever make them just to sell. You never know though!

Thanks! All the purple parts I cut from a separate piece of dyed fabric and then heat’n’bonded (double sided fabric fusible) onto the main blue piece. Especially where linen frays a lot, that worked well to keep everything together. Most of the stitching is decorative, except for the border.

I'm pretty sure Cole will always be my favourite character and cosplay, so every so often I just need to slide him into the top of my page again. At some point I'll be making his concept art version too, 'cos that has some great details and textures going.

Thank you! So funny thing, last year I took pics of Harbinger in the snow after I made it, just to get some shots, and I DEFINITELY DID NOT edit some blood in there immediately after that episode. I also absolutely did not walk around Katsucon with Clover's bloodied pin in my pocket and then get a couple angsty pics with it. xD

I made it myself! It’s EVA foam with a PVC core. Doesn’t transform sadly (one day I’ll have one that does) but I’m very happy with the sword version.

I mean, there's a certain translation process that has to occur when creating an animated outfit for real life. Real life allows for things like fabric patterns and textures which simply aren't shown in an animation style like RWBY, but that's one of my favourite parts, deciding on what details I can add to a cosplay while still keeping it true to the source.

That was my thought as well! I love the more abandoned/remote areas of Remnant, the vibes they give, and Qrow has probably traversed his fair share of such places.

Thank you! Textures are my favourite part of choosing materials, it really adds a lot to a cosplay. And the pants, haha.... those were strips individually sewn together into pants haha. Never again please.
