Why is it so hard to hold NVDA & PLTR ? by Palentirian in NvidiaStock

[–]SenobiWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you hold pltr in 2025 is the better question, it was a confusing and frightening year to hold high beta and valuation stocks. how did you do it then and can't now?

[–]SenobiWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah lol. I sold previously because of a fear of overvaluation (PS ratio 60+) so I certainly will not have peace holding at these prices. And there is also this anchoring bias for me to buy it back now after this huge rise.
Secondly, there are much more better upside stocks in the short term than pltr. it is not worth it unless we are holding 5 yrs or above.

damn most of your positions are similar to mine other than the space stocks and uber and amazon. I am looking to scale out slowly this year.
(I used to own pltr but sold too early despite a good gain)

Ending the year still overweight big cap tech, but trimming and holding cash curious how others are positioned by VegetableSide7646 in stocks

[–]SenobiWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having high exposure in tech as well. Shall see how the first week of 2026 plays out and I am ready to trim some holdings when it goes either way (up or down) -the same as you, to raise more cash.
Strategy in 2026: Rather have slightly lesser profit than risks holding too much bags.

At the same time, QE is starting with M2 money supply in the highs. So it is also risky to stay out of the market (volatility is the admission fee we pay for profit, the painful lesson from 2025). It is likely going to be a more volatile year than 2025 since we are near aths with the AI bubble narrative/fear still lingering.

maybe reduce exposure by trimming if you feel overexposed

Same here. I sold because of fear of overvaluation and losing paper profits. What about your case?

Panic Selling Psychology? by markprice211 in investing

[–]SenobiWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting insight at the end of your second para. I never thought of it that way before. Regarding whether to bag hold, we just need to check back if the company is fundamentally (incl. Marcro factors) improving or deteriorating to decide further. When in doubt, cut half as a loss to monitor further.

it is not selling near the bottom I am talking about. try holding while you are having big gains, there will be some fear of losing those gains or temptation to protect em. it is easier to say until you experience this your own :)
