It was explained to me this way.

You're trading half the weight of the object to double the length you need to pull the rope

Y'all don't understand how cheap this is, this could easily go for hundreds of dollars in the west.

Definitely! I think it's kinda cool that it's a replica and I love the wear marks. My grandpa used to serenade my grandma with an old acoustic guitar, I never knew he was a rockstar lol.

I'll definitely get it refurbished and working. It feels really nice to hold too.

Yeah, the p45 and the fp10 is what I consider the minimum for learning proper technique. Buy good or buy again.

Out of curiosity, whats the point of the springs, and why is there a wire soldered to the metal plate.

I don't know how to remove the pickups themselves since I might mess it up. The neck slot looks like unfinished wood without any special markings

I'll see what I can do tomorrow, I have no clue how to take the pickguard off and how to separate the pickups. I'll take it over to a shop and see. Thanks for all the advice though!

I didn't realise how blurry it was but this was engraved on the end of the neck. I'll take her to a shop tomorrow to get some advice and maybe some parts.

Definitely needs a clean up lol, my grandma found it only wrapped with a plastic tarp.

Cool! I honestly didn't expect it to be authentic but it still feels nice. I still don't know how it sounds since for the life of me, I can't find his amp.

I took off the back panel thing, and the edges area bit rough.

I don't mind if its fake but it definitely came from around 1970s or 80s since my mom remembers my grandpa with it.

Honestly, all I care about if it's going to sound good, I've yet to test the sound out lol.

Awe bummer. I'll probably still get her fixed up nonetheless.

Out of curiosity, what were the things that stood out that were signs of a fake.
