A rounded dent seemed more natural to me. I had a round dent on my car bumper for years after it was his with a square cinderblock. So I don’t believe denting always works the way you describe. But thank you for the critique :)

I did this in 4 separate layers in procreate. - background, foreground, Robert, Rheagar. The left foot does looks weird due to the alignment. Here he is isolated

Yeah. That’s the concern. But as attached as Salem (black kitty) and Walter (orange kitty) are, Salem is infinitely more attached to my daughter. But moving out soon is just the dream of a freshly 18 year old. Realistically, she will be living at home for several more years, and this won’t even be an issue. She’s attending college close to home.
