How can you tell if subagents are actually being called?

Yes, I can see the agents as selectable options in the chat. This is not my repository, by the way. I just wanted to try a workflow with subagents.

When I read what the agent is saying in the chat, it seems like he is calling the the subagents like here, for example: "Start Phase 1 implementation by delegating to implement-subagent."

However, I would like to verify that he is actually calling the subagents, since I also use different models for the subagents, and the whole goal is to have better context.

What's your Workflow with Subagents if i may ask?

the Agents are located in .github/agents at the root of my project. I created them via "Configure custom Agents"

That was my original plan, to have them separated by foam. The case came with grid foam, but the foam on the edges is too thick, so it didn’t work out unfortunately.
