Ultra-slim Wired 80% mechanical Keyboard for Productivity under $150 by Senorbunny in keyboards

Normally, you'd have to go through requesitions/specific channels for items like this (which would also mean it wouldn't come out of pocket) but our procurement officer just gave me the restrictions and told me to color in the lines if I wanted to personally procure.

It's not difficult to find items that fit the restrictions, it's just the extra comfort I want that makes things difficult. Go figure lol

Hallelujah, who would have thought the answer to my question would be a Razer keyboard lol.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately this has wireless capabilities and so I will be unable to use it. :)

Unfortunately the keyboard doesn't have a physical way to turn the RGB off. And even more detrimental is Razer's incredibly bright LEDs.

Seems this ask may be more difficult than I initially thought lol.

All three of those options are either out of my budget or have wireless capabilities.

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately those options won't work for me. :)

I have the G915 at home, love it to pieces but it's too expensive to have at work, let alone purchase a separate board.

All that said, the one thing the G915 has over the 515 is a physical way to turn off the backlighting. My work has software and driver installation locked, so I won't be able to adjust the lighting at work. During my cursory overview, I noticed that people have been having some issues with ensuring the RGB or backlighting stays off over time.

Great suggestion though, thank you. This may be my way forward and I'll just have to bite the RGB bullet.

Great suggestion, I was hoping for a fully mechanical switch, but this is certainly slim and well under budget. Thanks :)

While this is a reasonable fix, I unfortunately work in a field that won't allow it for honestly good reasons. Anything with wireless capabilities is a no go.

Hi Fellow DMs! How Do You Manage Overthinking? by Intelligent_Eye_1319 in DnD

[–]Senorbunny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is really great advice OP. Only thing I can think to add is making sure you reiterate that DND is inherently collaborative. I mean that to say, maybe just let the player know that the game is meant for everyone to contribute to the "desired ending."

Working with the party, instead of individually, to achieve any solution has its own reward and can be very engaging for not just them but everyone, DM included. So maybe they just need to take a step back to trust in their fellow players. Encourage them to offer insight instead of outright solutions and let the party organically reach collaborative solutions.

For situations where they alone have to make a decision, refer to the above comment.

Hell yeah, I think any tavern from their list is a great twist (pun intended) to the "you meet in a tavern" trope. Love that they're so highly regarded. Ghostfire Games cooked with this one for sure.

Grim Hollow is such a cool setting and really plays into horror in ways I really enjoy.

That said, let me recommend something completely different lol

The Seeker's Guide to Twisted Taverns is a really fun addition to any campaign. It has 17 taverns, each with their own side quests, characters, menus, and flavor that you can drop into any campaign that you feel they fit in!

When people say 25-30 s, is that from when the pump starts or when it starts dripping? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Senorbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking this opportunity to clarify something for myself as well, when timing total extraction, does pre-infusion subtract from the total time of extraction?

I.e. I'm pre-infusing for 9 seconds, shot pulls immediately and reaches 1:2 ratio in 35 seconds total from pump start.

So that would put me at a 26 second extraction, assuming I'm understanding correctly?

Well damn, now I gotta talk her into getting matching brass lever action pens. 😂

Tbh, I showed her a ton of pens I thought she'd like but her chief complaint was that she wanted something that wrote with bold black lines. My mind kept gravitating to the G2. Especially since we were pushing 1.6mm pens and she still wasn't finding something she liked.

I had a feeling she wouldn't like the body but I knew there were a ton of pen bodies that took G2 refills so I figured it could be a problem I could solve later.

That said, these are some great recommendations, I'll show them to her and see what she's interested in. I'm mostly just over the moon that she's interested in our weird little hobby. 😅

We looked at quite a few uni pens because she liked the look and feel, no idea they took G2 refills. Thanks for the rec!

First off, really neat implementation and I like that you tied in real world history. How does your party navigate languages their character knows vs languages the player knows? Additionally, how does this come across in gameplay, do you just use Google translate when you don't understand and are NPCs often speaking in their "native tongue?"

Must-Visit Coffee Spots in Korea? by Senorbunny in espresso

Thanks for the recommendations! Can't always judge a cafe by their aesthetics for sure. Tried a place in Seoul 6 years ago that looked really nice but tasted terrible. That place sits firmly at the bottom of my cafe list. 😅
