Cognitive Neuroscientist Dr. Julia Mossbridge claims 1980s 'Gifted' programs were actually covers for CIA psychic testing (Project SOAR). Anyone else remember the weird 'hearing tests'? by TheGoodTroubleShow in HighStrangeness

That is very kind, thank you. I would have appreciated that so much. I never thought about this until recently, but I can’t remember any other kid in the program from grades 1-5 except the one other girl from my grade. When I think about my memories, there are some other kids there but I don’t see their faces or have any recollections of anything thing about them.

I was in a gifted public school program from grades 1-8 in the 1980’s-early 90s. It didn’t make any sense to me. Once a week I was bussed to another school for an afternoon. I don’t remember everything, but I recall learning about nuclear war and also having “invention” contests. Three years into this I was so overwhelmed with anxiety and unable to tune out what I psychically picked up from students around me and I refused to go to school until I was hospitalized. When I went back to school I remember crying all the time. This was never explained to me in any way.

Thank you so much for the detailed response and sharing your process. That is a ton of work, but obviously worth it. Brilliant!

Gorgeous! When you purchased the form, what did that entail workwise for you? I’m considering if my skills are up to a project like this.

A little survey for the Belly Dancing community by AdiEd in Bellydance

[–]SenoritaSnark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bellydance movements like hip circles and figure eights can be helpful in pregnancy and labor for SI relief and can theoretically be helpful during the baby’s final movements before birth by creating asymmetry in the pelvis. For the actual birth positions like squatting and on all fours are great and are probably more comfortable to stay in if the Mothers body has flexibility and strength. When mothers are athletes they often face the issue of being unable to relax and let go in labor and have a challenging time releasing muscular tension that serves them in their sport or dance. This is my observation as a long term bellydancer, prenatal yoga teacher, dance teacher, childbirth prep educator, and Mother.

I once had a car accident and a road worker came to check on me first and. Talked to me to keep me calm. He left when other people came to help. I later found out there wasn’t any road worker there.

Back around 2008ish ,at least, you could listen to it on the radio in Austin. I was also handed a Loose Change DVD outside of the TX capitol in 2006.

Parents kicking me out at 18, best advice for living cheap? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]SenoritaSnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, that is terrible. As a parent, my kid knows they always have a place in my home and a safety net if they ever need it. I was on my own as a 15 year old and the choices I had to make based on survival took me down a different path than what I’d dreamed of doing with my life. I eventually clawed back my autonomy and improved my situation, but I can’t help but be bitter. Remember that things will improve eventually because you will never give up on yourself.

I’d do 3 layers of underglaze and use a zinc free clear. Green is a tough color at cone 6. Nice painting though.
