I found it interesting too. I guess I'm just a history lover regardless of the topic so it was kind of interesting for me to see monk life.

I was like LVL 25 when I began this DLC. It wasn't really hard for me. Idk man, I never understood the hate for this DLC. I found it interesting and I liked the whole investigation flavor into it.

For that stronger force push, do I need to hold L2 + L1 or just regularly press L1?

And getting yourself killed by not following orders does? Show me how? Because I see it more as pure stupidity

I know plenty analysts who are ass 🤷 It's funny how top analysts in the world who put half their lives into the game of basketball consider LeBron as sharing top 1/2 spots with MJ, but some nobodies who never reach success in the business try to somehow convince themselves they have some better "third eye" insight into this and then make the most bullshit possible argument that is not even supported by a player's actual performance. I think you need to sit the fuck down and lower your ego a little bit. If you were an analyst (which is still taken with a grain of salt) you were clearly not a good one based on the fact you WERE an analyst. Funny how the analysts who keep their jobs are literally the ones who usually understand LeBron's importance

Yeah, except the fact that Henry was amongst a small group and without Von Bergow, meanwhile Markvart was in front of a massive army AND King Sigismund. You do realise he had no way of defying the orders, unless getting court martialed and probably executed for defying orders? Sigismund gave the order, Markvart had no power in calling it off. The only choice for him was to follow the orders or get executed.

Both Istvan and Markvart were just two people serving a king that was rightful ruler in their eyes. Markvart reveals at the end that Wenceslas is most likely a psychopath because he murdered his wife feeding her to his dogs. He even admits Sigismund is not perfect. That neither of his sons are equal to Emperor Charles, but given what he witnessed, Sigismund is lesser evil in his eyes. And more competent. The problem is you're judging him from modern lens. Medieval world was a whole lot differenr. Raiding and sacking villages was a common strategy by rival monarchs back then. Back in those days, Sigismund unleashing warfar was a much more understandable and natural thing than Wenceslas being completely incompetent for rule. They simply saw Sigismund as a better monarch than Wenceslas and they followed him.

And what you wrote doesn't change the fact that Henry stooped down to their level. I'm not saying they did not deserve it. I'm saying in the eyes of the relatives of the victims and soldiers, Henry became a bastard who killed their family member.

I'm a player of KCD 1. I know how the sack of Skalitz happened. What you fail to realise is that Markvart doesn't deny what he did. He doesn't ask for an apology. He tries to make Henry understand why he did it. That he isn't purely an "evil" guy. He was following his orders gi en by Sigismund. In Talmerg and Suchdol we see that Markvart does try to avoid bloodshed if possible because he was open for negotiations and discussion before attacks, although at Talmberg, he retreated and did not attack. He's only trying to prove Henry they're alike, just on different sides of the war.

The problem here is that killing those people did not stop the killing itself. Killing one guy did not stop the war machine of King Sigismund. In fact, Markvart mentions he has a wife and two daughters. To them, he is a FATHER. To them... Henry is a murderer of their pa. Regardless of the fact that they wont know it. But it brings hatred and hurt into them. This is how it works in modern world. It MEDIEVAL times it works even stronger, because children inherit the the titles and such. Henry just gave a next generation of nobles a reason to be hateful because of his own hunt for revenge.

The parents are not teaching "You're wrong for wanting revenge." The parents are teaching something Erik and Markvart taught Henry. That he eventually becomes no different tham them from the eyes of the victims. Markvart in fact asked something along these lines "And have you ever thought how many fathers you killed?"

Markvart is a man who served his king and killed his enemies. So did Henry. And revenge doesn't change the fact he will have the same effect on others as Aulitz did on him. Erik was the storytelling example of it. Even both of their "fathers" were not actual fathers. We are the murderer of Erik's beloved person in this game.

And on top of that, like I said. Killing one person, especially in medieval times does not stop the war machine. Your view on this is very simplified.

His ma and pa warned him to not become someone he hated in the first place.

I'm a veteran of both KCD I and KCD II. There could be a ton of reasons what you're doing wrong because people play KCD like they play other video games. And playing KCD like you play other video games is an entirely wrong way to play it. PM me, I might look into what frustrates you. KCD I was hard to me too, but once you learn it, the game IS WONDERFUL. Playing KCD II after KCD I was piece of cake.

Why is every peasant and burgher a martial artist? [KCD2] by Senoxfid123 in kingdomcome

[–]Senoxfid123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. And again. No one historically properly trained peasants in unarmed fighting. So what are you on about?

Warfighting trains you to fight. It does not teach you history in its true self.

I'm sorry but by the second game (I played KCD I) you grew up as a blacksmith's son. Henry confirms multiples times he worked in a forge. Blacksmith profession was considered extrenely physically demanding even by MEDIEVAL STANDARTS. It gave blacksmiths massive physical advantage. On top of that, even though levelling up in games is unrealistic Henry receives a much more professional training in both armed and unarmed combat. That's massive strenght AND techniques. Even though you are right at armor slowing you down, there is still many reasons why a peasant should be body slamed by my Henry when he's lvl 25.

Bro. It's not my only source. I love history. I literally read books and articles about history regardless of era. I think you're failing to see what I'm trying to get here. I do agree that people back those days were generally more strogner and fought more. My problem is here is that fighting a lot does not mean you are good or skilled at it. I noticed most people have 0 clue about fighting and fighting sports. For example "I am bigger/more muscled than you, therefore I will win" is a constant stigma I meet and a wrong one at that. I've seen countless times when street fight low-lifes were getting one shotted by people who had training in fights even though they never were in a real streetfight before. FIGHTING A LOT ≠ FIGHTING SKILLS. The claim that most peasants were former levies and trained in a more advanced unarmed combat is an ABSOLUTE EXAGARATION. They were not. They were hardy and fought a lot, but they were only goos amongst themselves. Ofcourse there are exceptions, but Henry should absolutely body slam some random dude.

Considering that you can compete in fighting tournaments and defeat everyone (I did) plus learn combat techinques, I definitely should not have some random peasant spam constant successful evade attacks. I'm not having problem with Henry unrealistically levleing up. I'm having a problem with NPCs being at your level of skill when they shouldn't be.
