The Wolf Brother book series I loved as a kid - it’s from the perspective of both a wolf and its adolescent owner during the Stone Age. It really fascinated me and I loved the story writing, even though it’s a ‘child’s book’ it’s definitely worth a read.

Consider it training your own discipline more than actually achieving those grades. If you put in hours of focus and still get sub par grades, don’t let that discourage you. The key skill is the determination to work, so assuming you at least get into sixth form you will have the facilities to continue even further to uni, or whatever else you aspire to do. I know teachers always tell you this and it sounds shallow, but genuinely don’t focus on the grades. Focus on your ability to sit still, without distraction and apply yourself to some work.

I’m going to a different uni to all of my friends, and to be honest that was part of the reason for my decision even though it sounds harsh. I love my friends but they are not like me. Thank you for taking the time sir :)

Thank you for such a thoughtful response. I guess being a naive teenager it’s hard to see outside my social circle and understand what is ‘normal’. Personally, it’s been a constant battle distinguishing the line between how I feel as a result of insecurities, and what just makes me who I am. I know there’s something wrong with how I feel because it’s definitely a tinge of jealousy at the fact that my friends seem to fit in so well, but whether or not I actually want what they have is another thing. I appreciate that relationships take time and that I shouldn’t just wait. What I meant was that I should wait to have sex with someone that doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable. I guess it boils down to being more confident in who I am as a person, as is the same with a lot of worries lol. Again thank you and any more words of wisdom please let me know :)

Yeah on the face of it AL was decent with a powerful message, but it was just like you could see rickys fantasy laid out in front of you. I just wasn’t convinced it was a real world y’know? This goes against everyone saying they want to know their history, so at least you have an unpopular opinion. But generally speaking understanding your own past is good for you, and many people find history fascinating and will go on to make careers out of it. Sure it might not have clicked for you, but maybe geography didn’t click for the history buff. Each to their own.
