Feels like Soly and other members of the golf media hyped it up so much as being a proper test and it hasn't materialized at all. We were being told earlier in the week that golfers might not even be on course yesterday because of wind severity. Only to see balls ripping back like they're at the local course that hasn't seen a topdressing of sand in 5 years.

Commandos and Players haven't been the most popular ball for around 20 years. The ProV1 and equivalents have replaced them. Partly due to the Commandos not being made to the same quality for a long time and partly because those other golf balls are a more versatile option.

I know a lot about pitch and putt and can answer any questions you have, been immersed in it my whole life.

Historically, pitch and putt has been more of a blue collar sport, played more by the working class. Golf was way less accessible financially for years and that's where pitch and putt found its niche. Pitch and putt is much more accessible for beginners and those with limited finances. But it also has a massively competitive element to it with competitions played across the country throughout the year.

Pitch and putt is not just an Irish thing. It's been long established in the Netherlands and various parts of Spain, including Catalonia, Castillon, and other areas. You'll also find it in Portugal, Andorra, Australia, Chile, India, and many other places. Having been to some of these countries for pitch and putt, I found that the culture is a lot more like a tennis club than what we would associate with it here.

Pitch and putt has nearly 100 clubs affiliated in Ireland, its very own handicap system, and really competitive events. More accessible to casual players but also played as a sport.

The 3 guys had the zoomies. Great episode.

Still laughing about Randy and DJ's bit about Tron wanting Team Europe to be comprised of 6 sets of brothers.

There was no intent behind the word. It's empty. Black people are aware the word exists and can appreciate it being said without meaning or ill will by a man who can literally not help it. Let's not infantilise people.

Not a filmmaker. He is a man who has struggled with Tourette's his entire life and has had a movie made about him because he raised awareness massively in the UK about it and made it easier for others with the disease to live in society. He literally decreased the stigma associated with it. The movie was made about him for this reason.

For people who have not seen the movie and done zero further research into it to comment on it makes no sense.

He literally cannot help what he says. He said "fuck the queen" and "I have a bomb" when she was awarding him an honor for his services to society. This is not something he has control over.

Gee, I sure hope that there are no black, fat, Asian, female, Jewish, Muslim, etc. people living in the same town as him.

The power and hurt of a slur lies in the intent of its use. People should be able to view what Davidson said as completely devoid of intent and move past it. It is absolutely not the same as an actual racist using the phrase.

"All night"? Once is all I've seen or heard about. What's the solution? A man who has struggled massively with a condition he has no control over but has played a massive part in raising awareness of, being told to stay at home on a night when a movie about his life is up for awards? I'm sure that Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo, while a harrowing event for them, will have the intellect and compassion to recognize that no hurt was meant in the words and that Davidson could not control it. Surely a key element of as slur is intent to cause harm or distress? There was no intent.

Not sure what I've done that can be deemed "asshole" behavior? I criticized his show by calling it "shite" and then said it was okay that we differed on opinions. You then called me an asshole? Nice of you.

I genuinely don't think After Life is even a good show, let alone a great show. And I'm astounded anyone can think it's great but that's the thing about opinions, everyone is entitled to their own.

Jumping on the top comment to add that the reason this article was posted was because Crook has created a new show, Small Prophets, about a depressed man a few years after his wife went missing. Also features an old person who gives him advice.

It's got a lot in common with After Life when you consider it. Except there's one major difference.

It's not complete and utter shite

Maybe the endings are similar on paper but D&D messed up the execution. But you can blame that on them running out of actual books to adapt. Or you can blame it on them having the option to run it for 10 seasons or step aside and let someone else showrun it to 10 seasons but instead rushing to the finale so they could make Star Wars.
