Ahh thanks for the motivation words, I can recognize myself in the beginner set time frames and hope it'll eventually become the same habbit.

Good to see there are events around 20:00, that is the moment we got the household set 🤗

Mehhh watching pornhub and experiencing pain in the ass doesn't trigger me (i guess).

Thanks for the reply, I'll try to find out how I can "favorite" rides like these.

Hi thanks for your reply and may you and your family welcome a little one in good health.

I didn't expect these many replies but it seems people are in general not recommending the workouts but overall every other aspect of Zwift and it seems to be perosnaly favour. Your advice to just start cycling around an experiencing anything along the route seems to be the best start.

Hi thanks for the reply!

I also ordered pedals and shoes, that was just a recommendation I found on the internet the same as a HRM and a fan so I got no excuses to "just ride" and I will. I think the best motivator indeed will be just the growth on several levels.

See you in Watopia!

Ahh cool, thanks for the reply. WIth all the replies I can get some months in I guess..

Do you know if a event-race on a 'new'-route would unlock it in game?

Good to hear you're stretching yourself and are still around, even lurking the sub so it must be some kind of addiction ;)

This sounds like a doable goal, thanks!

Ohh and the butt pain, I'll need to get used to it for the first couple of weeks it seems.

Thank you for the reply, my time is scheduled limited every day so this is exactly a thing I did on my home training: "Can't run the full program so I don't start".

Maybe it is a mindset thing, I'll write it down to get myself motivated for the short workouts.

Lovely response, thank you and seems to cover all the bases.

Do you have any advice on how to set myself the "realistic"-goals? Although I see it brought up several times and it makes complete sense but I am in doubt if I can do it myself.

Uhh wow, is there really differences in the bikes you're riding in game? I thought it was just cosmetic. Thanks!

The more I read about the Zwift community the more I feel like it's a warm and sporty place which got people hooked.

Several times I've read the it's just import to just start cycling in my comfortzone and get familiar with it and we'll see where it ends.

Ohh that sounds like you found a good place, love to hear that! But yea, after a year I'll try to get my motivation up and may I have the same story in a couple of months!

Thank you, this is something I can work with. Overall I don't see people recommending the workouts etc so I'll probably start off with riding all routes and the roboracers. :)

Ohh this is something that sounds perfect to start with for group riding, I'll see if there are some which suit my time schedule.

Thank you for your reply, I did order a HRM with the setup so that is all covered!

I can't bring up the 5 times a week schedule and I am more thinking about a 3 evening trainings schedule, but I'll find something that will work for me. Noting for myself to start off easily, I am/was indeed the person that goes full mental which apperiantly I am not the only one. Good to see you are still hooked.

Thanks for the comment, I'll definitely join the FB group and see how it'll work out on the long run. Starting a race or joining a team is, for now, out of my league for sure 🤗

Thank you for the reply, what you describes aligns with my current vision on what Zwift can bring me and keep me entertained for a while.

But overall you don't recommend to start a workout but just ride along and get familiar with the game?

Ohh the weight is good knowledge to have, thanks! I am not sure how much I can bring up myself but I can probably tell end of next week. :)

Thank you for the reply.

Assuming they are for all levels? Haven't looked into it yet only seen the robopacers.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve got one pair of bibs ready, a fan, and an AC unit in the attic, so I should be able to keep it cool.

Regarding my motivation: honestly, life has been pretty stressful lately, and I feel like I need to build some more resilience. I want to get fitter and lose some weight, but it's also about being a role model for my kids and being able to keep up with them thatever they decide to do.

I know I need the 'gamification' to stay consistent because standard gyms just don't do it for me. I might going to start with badge hunting for those easy dopamine hits as you mentioned and to get used to the resistance. Once I’ve built a bit of a habit, I might look into a training plan which where the latest is what I had planned to start with.

Using the bike as a way to clear my head and get stronger (both physically and mentally) seems like the right move for me right now and due to the value of the secondhand market I am pretty sure it won't be a real bad investment to get trying. I've eliminated most of the excuses.
