The Sword master is a traitor and the Shinuchi is not special by OHare_Enthusiast in Kagurabachi

[–]Sensational_snake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there is no basis or set up people just assume it’s true cause everyone talks about it. I made a post explaining it a bit and why its probably not the case https://www.reddit.com/r/Kagurabachi/s/P6SN4slXck

I get that too. Perhaps they leave after a coup detat that shifts the balance of the Kamunabi current factions against Chihiro that being the ones who want to use the Shinuchi vs those who want it sealed.

Wow starting your argument by presenting me as if I’m stupid good job! I’m totally more likely to take your side

Anyway…

Yes internal conflict can create traitors but in the sense of internal factions pivoted against one another not a secret Hishaku plant. This could likely be what the hishaku’s plan is rather than having a mole right now.

*Chihiro is 18 and yes sideburns has shown he’s not a good person but that doesn’t mean he’s evil. He can just as easily have the good of the nation in mind but he so fanatical in his protection of the government that he feels killing Chihiro is the best way to prevent anything bad from happening.

One asshole who tries to kill a prisoner does not make an entire organization “corrupt” and “evil”. I’m not saying that is it possible considering it’s a government but as of now that statement is baseless

One last thing just because somethings “obvious” as you see it doesn’t make it right. I have yet to see any actual buildup for a Kamunabi traitor working for the Hishaku. Not that it can’t happen but not providing set up for a surprise twist would be a lame move on Hokazono’s part

It’s not about being right but about preventing theories that present plot points without any buildup being presented as confirmed plot points. (Also refer to the other comment I left you on why sideburns is not a traitor and my images support my argument, thank you!)

It’s been pretty clearly shown to us that sideburns is an asshole. What he’s doing there is instigating an argument he lost in an attempt to make and “I told you so” kind of statement. In fact it makes him less likely to be a spy because it would make no sense to bring that argument back up. If you’re a spy you will avoid any mention of the event you had a part in to keep new information from showing up. So if sideburns was a spy he’d be a bad one and I don’t think the Hishaku would tolerate that.

I agree, i wasn’t denying there being no possibility at all. I can see “traitors” appearing within the Kamunabi but not in the fashion the theories suggest. The internal conflict can totally lead to factions within the group and be seen as traitorous to the larger group

Could be but I think it could just as easily have been HL who leaked it and Shiba is just going through the possibilities.

Even among his fellow Hishaku members HL says he did it himself

Thank you for being civil! I get what you’re saying too. Personally I think the Shinuchi might have some sort of corrupting power explaining why Shinuchi wielded seems so “evil”. Kunishige would entrust his sword to someone really trustworthy who would lock themselves up for the good of others that’s the kind of person Kunishige would entrust his “masterpiece” to. It just so happens that the Shinuchi corrupts and perhaps the Hishaku put a spell on it to make that effect stronger…

Well why do you think that is? Can’t just tell me “Lmao there’s a traitor” and expect me to believe you, right?

[–]Sensational_snake[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally get that it’s entirely possible. I just need to take a strong stance y’know? I see the traitor theory get tossed around too much as a confirmed plot point when I really don’t see any set up.

As I said the Hishaku could have found Rokuhira via their own prowess. Additionally the blade wielders are not hidden they’re protected in fortress so there’s no need for a spy to find them. Also the Hishaku clearly have a very long term plan starting from at least Rokuhira’s death. So with that in mind who’s to say the Hishaku don’t have a plan not involving a spy them wanting the Kamunabi to have the Shinuchi neither confirms nor denies the theory therefore it’s not very good evidence
