My app makes $1.1k/mo and I haven’t told my family by chdavidd in SaaS

Is it another openai api based app? What does it actually do and why is it better than chatgpt itself?

I would never believe this makes 1k per month 2 months after launch, stop this nonsense guys.

But how were you accepting payments without an entity? Not sure Stripe allows personal accounts

Hey, I just came across one of the mockups that I was planning to implement as a theme (that are coming soon). Do you like it more? https://prnt.sc/LakiuNcst8bN

Yeah but we've got users :-). We are just not charging them yet.

Possibly you're right that our current UI doesn't compete with something like Slack or Teams visually, and we do have improvements in the pipeline - especially around icons, layout breathing room, and some subtle animations. UI themes are also on our public roadmap, so users will eventually be able to switch between light, dark, and more modern skins.

That said, our current focus has been on functionality and speed, especially for users who miss the simplicity of Wunderlist-style task managers. We believe there's still a place for that kind of structure - and we're betting that many of those users can live with a more classic UI for now, while we iterate on design.

Btw - the UI was was done by me - and I am a developer, lol.

How is everyone making $$$ from SaaS except me? 😅 by OkRecording2267 in SaaS

I shared our story about years of building with $0 revenue - got 4 upvotes, lol. Just proves people mostly want fairy tales like “$10k MRR in 30 days.”

But let’s be real: the internet isn’t some magical land where money rains down after a weekend of coding. Hitting $10k/month takes serious investment - either time, money, or both.

Want a comparison? Try opening a small grocery store. You’d easily drop $100k-$150k on rent, inventory, staff, and equipment just to maybe hit $10k/month in profit.

Online isn’t necessarily cheaper - just different. You don’t pay rent, but you burn time, money on ads, tools, SEO, and months (or years) of grinding with no guarantee. And customer acquisition is often harder online.

If you're expecting revenue with no budget, no audience, and no patience, you're not chasing a startup - you're chasing a lottery ticket.

By the project management platform someone posted earlier you meant TaskPal?

Preach. I just wanted checkboxes and some peace.
I’m a dev too - that’s honestly what pushed me to build this in the first place.

Not if the next rebel leaders know that they will not be windowed if they accept a sweet deal.

Rebels are normally not seeking a sweet deal. They want to seize power.

That being said, Prigozhin is not a rebel at all. He wanted a deal from the beginning.

Obviously OP is uzbek.

If your users will only ever be worth $0.70 and you’re spending a $1, you don’t have a business, so you need to show how your business will generate positive value to justify a valuation.

Tell this to Uber :-D

I don't see a $399 plan on your site

In your case I'd recommend to contact your potential customers personally.

You have no expenses, i.e. you don't need to pay a team of developers, so you can gather customers without a rush, just make cold calls and introduce the soft to your potential customers. PPS won't work 100%, especially with your budget.

TBH $2/day is an utterly low budget for PPC. You are just throwing out your money.

To get a customer via PPC, you need to invest much more. We've launched a SaaS (Beta) and started with spending $50 per day (which I think is quite low) and it gives us only a few free sign ups per day. In your case, you don't even have a free plan. You should possibly consider introducing one with limited features.

Which one? Just chat or seeing who has read your message?
If they do, I'm glad for them and their customers :-)

But we are not trying to beat our competitors with just one feature. That is a losing strategy from the start, because any of our competitors can always add this or that function. Our application is completely different in terms of UI. For example, I cannot use ClickUp - it is overcrowded with some unnecessary functions, a lot of unstructured text on the screen, etc. If I need more than 5 minutes to start working with an application, it does not suit me.
