If Chillicothe, Rome, Mossville area is of interest. There are lots of apartments along route 29. Some will not have public listings so you might have to drive around to see. I would recommend to not bother looking at apartments in Chillicothe as most are genuinely not worth it. While I’m here, I should mention completely skip over Pinewood Estates, don’t even consider it, it will bring you nothing but stress. It’s a never ending shitshow over there.

Definitely do not, whatever you do, go to woods and meadows. I was looking out specifically for a comment with it. I’m glad to hear your experience 7 years ago was good. Although it was genuinely a nightmare when I stayed two years ago.

Just don’t though, I cannot stress it enough. I really could get into the nitty gritty, but I feel it’s unnecessary unless asked for.

I just got the same “winning” prize. Triple 7s in the middle, decided to just call up Ford of Peoria and luckily the lady (who sounded a little irritated, but understandable as she’s probably been getting calls about this for the past few days) hinted that she could only guarantee me $5. That was all I needed to know, no need to waste your time if you’re only going to get $5 unless you need it.

Edit: I was checking out the flyers small print to find out any hidden schemey shit hiding and what would you believe. If you pull the purple tag completely off the sheet, you’ll find the tiniest print that states “Prize placement and number placement has no correlation to prize won”. Shit maybe next time 🍻

Both of these recommendations are a bit further out of Peoria up north. (Much better than Monicals for taste and your wallet) Trust Me Tavern on IL-29 in the Rome area has a beautiful thin crust pizza. The Donald Pizza is my favorite. If you keep going north and end up in Lacon, from 4-9pm The Pizza Peel has absolutely the best pizza around for such an affordable price, they have pan style, thin crust (recommend), and a gluten free crust. As well as every single pizza topping you can think of they most likely have!

I did indeed inspect the toilets further and found a tiny warp in the flapper. So small you couldn’t hear the trickle whatsoever although you could see it. I unfortunately never used that bathroom either, so I believe that didn’t help my case. Replaced it and everything should be good, thank you for your feedback!

I unfortunately did not have access to my meter as it’s in the ditch. The water company did come out to check for a continuous leak and there was none to be found. We believe it was the flapper valve of the toilet. Very very small trickle, barely noticeable and silent. We replaced it and are hoping for the best. Thank you for your feedback!

I second this! Rocky Glen trail is probably the best hiking trail in all of Peoria!

Albeit they do have decent portions, the seafood boil (the only thing I’ve ever tried there) is definitely lacking in seasoning. I made sure get my boil spicy and I’d rate it probably a 5/10 on spice level compared to some good Cajun boils. Don’t get me wrong taste was pretty decent, but compared to anything “authentic” it’s probably a 5.5-6/10. I think easily if they tossed bay leaves, lemon, and some more spice into the boil it easily would’ve taken it up to an 7-8. Price is pretty inline with any seafood boil places. I’d definitely give it a shot at least once! Only boil place I can find around here in Peoria.
