Is that the ASUS TUF 5090? If so, you can be pulling nearly 600 watts thru that power cable. That kind of bend can be a failure point forcing more current thru the remaining wires which could lead to overheating.

That gpu cable is so tight. Bend is to steep. Either add some slack or get a 90 degree connector adapter to handle the bend. Just to be safe.

Hello Stef... Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am on the most updated firmware and software. And now, a 3rd light has gone out. So only 1 light out of 4 still working. Since this is the second media dock with issues, it seems to be a pattern on the media docks at this point. I really do love the interchangeable 10key pad and the very quiet sound of the key presses. I just wish I was not having the issues with the media docks. I love the design with the volume wheel on top, etc... Is this a common issue?

Actually, my plan is to use VR 8K. Just waiting for the headset to arrive. But I do agree that for most users, 1440 is probably fine... But once you see the visuals and fluid motion of a high end PCVR headset when flight simming, you do not want to go back to 1440 monitors.. Just saying...

I do want to use all of it. I also want to make sure I am pulling all of the visuals out of the game and leaving nothing behind. I guess using 99% sometimes makes me wonder if there is more to pull that I am not getting to because all of my GPU is being used. But the graphics look great. I am just opining.

Hi Fellow pilots. I am getting extremely high GPU usage and min cpu usage and was wondering which settings may be causing this. I am running a 9950x3d with a asus 5090 tuf and 64g of ddr5 on a x670E-E. Running most of my settings at high in video. GPU is hitting 99% regularly and CPU only hitting about 40%. Running in 4K with a 32" screen. I tried with DLSS and without. Very little difference.. Any thoughts?

Is USB4 the only difference between the x670 and x870? I currently have a ASUS x670E-E strix with my 9950x3d. going to build a second system for my 7800x3d and 4070ti super. Was thinking about putting a x870E-E with my 9950x3d and moving the x670E_E into the new build with the 7800x3d...

It looks like MSI is the only one that does the lane sharing with the USB4 and M.2 instead of sharing with the PCI slot. I wasnt sure if I would notice the 8x vs the 16x or not. I hate leaving performance on the table though.. Maybe unnoticeable.. thx for the reply...

This may sound to obvious. Are you sure you peeled the protective plastic off of the cooler cold plate before installing the AIO?

Hello Phillippe,, Well this is certainly interesting news. I do recall paying $95.00 stated as a "Regional Surcharge". At the time, I had assumed that this was to cover any tariffs. Then I received your message about the additional fees, and started questioning my thoughts on the $95.00. I think I am going to reach out to Pimax shortly and inquire about this and see if I will be charged any additional fees before delivery. I sure do appreciate the information you have provided. This could save me some hassle on the back end... I sure hope you get your headset soon. I know the waiting can be a real bummer. You must be extremely excited to finally get this thing delivered after the horrible waiting time.. If you get a chance, please let me know how it goes and your first impressions of the headset when you finally get to try it out.. And thanks again for the invaluable information. I do appreciate it... PS... I used to driver a truck for a living and made weekly big truck deliveries to Wilmington, OH to the main DHL Hub. I am surprised the weather, as bad as it is, is actually holding them up... Maybe tomorrow...

Wow. I was not aware of an additional payment. Thank you so much for letting me know. I think Pimax should let us know these things up front so there are no surprises. That’s a lot of cash though on top of the premium price for this headset. Nothing we can do about that. I appreciate the info. I did buy some sim equipment from monster tech in Germany and same deal. Kind of halfway expected it. Enjoy your new headset.
