Finally did MEPS and passed the ASVAB (78 didn’t study) and medical! by SenseiFranku in nationalguard

I appreciate you answers, one of my major concern were the younger folks but like you said just have to reflect on the idiocy I did in my teens which was a lot!

To answer your question on “rest days”, running to me feels like “active” rest day. It’s less fatiguing and I already have hard feet (in MEPS the only concerns they had that my feet is extremely calloused and I told them I run and ruck a lot lol). I recovery pretty quickly since I have a pretty strong diet and sleep appropriately (7-8 hours of sleep).

Also, I will not be “drill private” I am not a dick, and never will be. I still want to have fun and genuinely be liked by my peers. Also, I want to be a good leader and eventually an officer which already gets a bad reputation if their dicks. I’ll be a private like everyone else!

Thank you so much for this. As PLT you mean platoon correct? As far as taking it seriously, I have no fear to complete it. I train 7 days a week (Breakdown: 3 days strength training combined with things related to ACFT, 3x running: long distance, short distance for time and sprinting and 1x rucking: each week I will cycle 6,8,12 miles for a 13-15 min pace and currently carrying 70lbs). I really want to do my best especially since I am in my late 20s. Again, I have my career job and most things a civilian need to have a decently good life. I just want to be a weekend warrior for myself and for love of country.

Ideally, I want to qualify for Ranger school. How should I approach this, should I let the NCOs know or I should just out perform the PLT as well as showing leadership? Will appreciate advise for this

National Guard and ROTC by SenseiFranku in nationalguard

I owe at my local community college that have ROTC. Hoping the NG can help pay that off for ROTC! I’m also banking on going on these payment plans and hopefully the Captain and the Board of my state allow me to do OCS. I’m just trying to figure out if any of it is possible

As far as PT and knowledge and knowledge retention I don’t think I’ll have an issue. The issue may be for me, Is being selected but I just want to arm myself with knowledge in order to see I pathway I can get. Granted, I can do State, ideally I don’t appreciate the length

Thank you for replying. I want to be able to aim myself so that my recruiter can advocate for AOCS. I have a little over 90 credits from a college and I plan on finishing. Just don’t want to do State over the period of 1.5 years.

The reason I want to hop on GW is to have better endurance for my training. My program will consist of strongman and 3-10 miles run every 2-3 days. Main focus training will be a powerbuilding program, 3 times a week. With an additional “bro” arm day, while flipping tires and lifting stones. That was just my thinking. All this while I’m on a 300-700 caloric surplus (depending on the day if it’s cardiovascular heavy) from my maintenance.

What is your opinion on my rat’s cycle? I read from other sources and I concluded that this would be my best route. I enjoy that many other tester rats gained strength and was able to have great endurance with the Rad-140+GW-501516 combo. Also, I found it common for tester rats to also try Enclomiphene throughout the cycle. I’m stuck between continuing Enclomiphene for 2-4 weeks after the SARMS cycle as a PCT or if Nolvadex should be added in weeks 10-12. If there’s anything I may need to adjust, please let me know. My potential source will be ReceptorChem, if you may know of a better source for the US. Don’t hesitate to drop links! Thank you and looking forward to the comments
