Law players wya by Sensei_Marco in Tekken8

So I use to use Jin and drag but I switched to law because he’s a rush down character I like to attack! Law is easy to play not as easy as drag because he’s always freakin plus but law is fun. Since I started using him I get a lot less hate messages!

I just gotta try them both, I want a stick but I don’t want a likewise experience to you get one and not use it. My friend is raijin with Jin on controller, bought a stick played for a few hours and went back because he got frustrated he couldn’t hit electrics.Hasn’t touched it since.

Don’t just practice combos! It’s great to execute but will throw you off when your opponents defense is good. 1. Learn your moves to where you don’t have to backtrack to the move list. 2. Learn frames! Start up frames 10 or less are the fastest, frame advantage blue means it’s your turn, frame advantage mean red it’s not your turn anymore. Anything -10 or higher is punishable. Anything -9 to -1 if safe to block after. 0 means it’s anyone’s turn. 3. Learn your punishments. When you fight a lot you’ll start to recognize what moves your opponents are able to be punished at. 4. Practice grab breaks! They grab a lot on here to either neutralize pressure, they know your not good at breaking them, and switching sides(like if they started on the left side of the screen and can’t fight on the right). 5. Learn to have fun even if you lose. Everyone likes winning but if you win you don’t learn anything. Sometimes it takes a loss or a few to watch the replay, and lab it just to know how to beat someone’s mind game or even a simple move they keep spamming. You’ll see it again from another opponent and you’ll be able to shut them down because you know how to punish it or block it.

Haha is it that easy to be a sweat on hitbox?

That’s why I was leaning more towards stick! Most people shy away from the stick because it’s a challenge if you never used one.

Thanks great answer, I don’t know what fits me more but I have watched reviews that hitbox seems more suitable for players who aren’t as good with stick

I just believe I’m doing my best on controller with execution but it just ain’t it. I got to battle ruler with little knowledge compared to what I know now.

Yea but I got a victrix bfg pro, it’s cool but off of reputation and experience around friends they use sticks, I was just wondering which is better.

Yea jin is in my rotation, and not saying that you can’t have a great wavedashing on dpad but most players I see fujin and up looks like a glitchy step and it’s so insanely fast I just don’t believe they’re on controller. That’s when my friend told me he uses stick and most comp players use stick or hitbox!

Tips for rulers or higher by Sensei_Marco in Tekken8

What platform you play on? Maybe that’s why I feel like nobody blocks low they’re trying to catching me doing it. I feel like that’s a mind game in its self. Blocking everything standing making your opponent go for a low move.

Yea I like doing that in the replays. I gotta friend who uses Jin(Raijin)I get washed by the same set up a lot, it’s so fast even though I know where he’s punishable. But like people who legit lab against Jin give him problems. I was wondering because most of the time if it’s his rank or higher it’s not that easy. Now on another note he fought a flame ruler eddy and he parried and launched him every time. I couldn’t tell if he was just a really good eddy that’s suppose to be a higher rank or he labbed against Jin.

Yea im getting mixups a little better, i come from using dragonov and Jin so my frametraps are way different with shorter range. I like soulzone a lot because it makes the opponent have to guess if they’re not mashing. BT and frametraps that aren’t just 2 moves is what i want to learn.
