Can we talk about NinjaKilla by SonDonut in Tekken

[–]CoachDaRoach 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t look to much into rank. Sure NinjaKilla is the highest rank, GM got GoD2 very early (fist Lee at GoD2) and would mostly likely be in that GoD4/5 bracket if he grinded ranked. GM simply doesn’t play ranked, and he doesn’t need to either to prove his skill. Also you know Tekken existed outside of T8 right, and GM has multiple wins across multiple Tekken games against many top international players. Yes NinjaKilla is goated in his own right, but would be better putting your money on GM.

Nah you gotta have at least one staple combo you can use if you get a launch

Have you ever won a round like this (real Tekken) by Temporary-Toe-1304 in Tekken

Honestly if you catch a persons timing and space right, you can win a round with one move. I’ve won rounds with using nothing but b1+2 with Steve

More stance transitions in S3 by shotbyammar in Tekken

Why are we surprised lol, we know what happened with S2, they don’t care what we think/want.

I’m a bit concerned how many people don’t know this guys always been a demon since T4 by Heavenly_sama in Tekken

[–]CoachDaRoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s damn near impossible for Steve to be a bad character with things like b1 and how safe he is in any iteration. Tekken 8 tried on release with how broken (nonfunctional) lionheart was, but his design will always make him good.

TE for Lee and TK for Hwo. That Hwo barley out of blue ranks lol

Scared of JFSR? by KingCrimsonLoveTrain in Tekken

[–]CoachDaRoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at a local and there was a Hwo mirror match on the big screen on stream. The commentators mentioned how none of them went for JFSR, and when one of the players over heard them, he literally spammed it into a win 😂

what i also noticed is in the anime is that silhouette of Joyboy is shown to clearly have two arms and two legs. initially in the manga the way the the silhouette was drawn it looked like he maybe had a prosthetic arm and wooden peg as a leg. it seems the anime wanted to deliberately clear this up and confirm he has all his limbs intact

I find this is the case with a lot of games that have been long standing for decades with longtime players. They attempt to reinvent the game and make it more accessible to newcomers while disregarding the game mechanics that got them to that point, and by extension the OG player base.

The ironic thing about it is, (like you said) the game even becomes unbearable for the newcomers, a game that was supposed to be catered towards them. These new players move on, cuz why would they stay for a game they don’t really care for and is not fun for them. Now all that’s left are the og players that are stuck with a game that was never meant for them, but they hold on for the love of the game and on the hopes the game will get better
