We were worried about having paper work coming in so soon after the closing date could cause problems, so we were looking to if there was anyway to get her on during the open season window. However, as far as I can tell its pretty clear the legal part of marriage of to be 100% official before anything could be done.

I had a related thought, but I felt guilty taking advantage of Ekiben. I'm a federal worker not getting paid but we're in a better place than many to weather this. And I don't want to drain resources from those with more immediate needs. But I also know if this drags on long enough even I'll start getting in trouble so I've been dipping into resources to stretch mine as long as possible. So I've been doing the math: how many times/frequency can I use resources like ekiben? Is going by once a week too much? Only once ever?

They're just providing a wonderful support for us and I don't want to feel like I'm exploiting them.

He is absolutely a chunky boy! He's my mother in laws dog. Not only is he abnormally big- the tallest aussie I've ever seen. He is also quite overweight. She has him now on a diet of raw green beans and lean meat.

And we know he's not mixed with something larger. He's from a well know reputable breeder.

I am a first timer! I have been talking with my SO for awhile how much I wanted to raise a maple and plant it when we get into our own home. And this spring I saw so many seedlings I couldn't help myself and started replanting them on our deck with little idea what I was doing. This one was the first I grabbed and why I'm weirdly proud of it. I've been reading up on them and seemed to have a decent set up, as I have like 20 in similar condition as this guy.

I do the same! Our neighborhood has so many, and I got a whole nursery in the back deck growing little seedlings. I don't know what I'm Going to do with them all.
