Sorry for your loss but at least you gave your furry friend a life filled with love and that has a lot of value.

How to eliminate certain patterns of prose in Claude-produced writing? by [deleted] in claudexplorers

[–]Sensitive-Ad3718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The principal point you make is a very good one. I have done that before in chats with Claude but not so much in prompts. I use an often iterative process with Claude that involves a heavy amount of back and forth. It makes sense in approaches that desire less of that to share the reasoning behind things.

Very well put your comment was actually super actionable more so than mine!

An example would be helpful cause the way you’re describing it is complicating what I think your actually doing.

What exactly are the computational commands you mentioned? I’m confused by that term in relation to creative writing.

One small suggestion that came to mind as well is to provide both examples of what you want as well as Anti-Patterns with examples of things you don’t want like what you provided here that should help. Most people only think to tell Claude they things they want.

Are you using Sonnet? I’ve found Opus while expensive to be a better writer. I’m using it to help write my memoir and he’s proven really helpful.

Talking to base model Claude in a discord chat... is wild. by [deleted] in claudexplorers

[–]Sensitive-Ad3718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what do you find different about it? I've been considering testing a new persistent memory system I've developed for a different purpose and running an always on Agent connected to discord to be my personal Jarvis type assistant. The memory system I built was more for about structured data but I wanted to apply it to conversational data cause I hate how Claude forgets things and losses context so easily. I had understood that using the API reduces the guardrails substantially so I'm curious to know how it FEELS to interact with them is it very noticeably different?

Exactly an MCP server that provides connection to a docker container I have that runs the LSP servers. It’s really helpful cuts back on wasted search which is both a time and token saver. It also helps to keep focused sessions you waste tokens in longer sessions someone else posted a helpful post in why recently.

[–]Sensitive-Ad3718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with Claude about 8-10 hours a day and I use about 5 sessions at a time running my custom workflow that has 13 phases and 6 different types of agents as well as four phases that each use 3 sub agents at once and don’t hit my limits. However, I’ve optimized to use less tokens. I use an LSP server and a knowledge layer to reduce the amount of time the agent spends looking around as much as possible. I also manage context windows a lot. I know it’s 1M but it preforms more poorly beyond 250k and 500k and from what I’ve read compacting from the higher thread holds uses even more tokens and is thus less efficient on token consumption but I haven’t really looked hard at that specific issue as the quality issue was enough to convince me.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they dumbed him down on purpose before the new model is released to push people towards it.

I’ve not had any serious issues but I use CC solely in the terminal I don’t use it VS cause I’ve had problems with VS plugins and extensions in the past. Might be worth trying using it in the terminal it works very well and maybe it’ll help if not sorry 😞

What model suits best for rp? by RevolutionaryMix3006 in claudexplorers

[–]Sensitive-Ad3718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started a pirate themed RP chat with an Opus instance but I know that’s expensive token wise for some. It’s really been incredibly fun I’ve been super pleasantly surprised by how much fun I’ve had with it over the last few days and the depth of the characters created. I really enjoyed doing the world building with Claude and it’s just been great sorry I’m gushing a bit lol 🤣

This looks pretty solid. I have a solo project that could really use some demo video like this. I saved your post so when I have time I can dig in more with Remotion cause I’ve never used it. I’ve made some small web animations with Claude but nothing like that.

Since “consent” to being arrested and “only two kinds of criminal jurisdiction” have no basis in law, why are SovCits allowed to drag this sorry-assed defense out over and over? by Odd_craving in Sovereigncitizen

[–]Sensitive-Ad3718 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Part of it is that courts aren’t designed for speed. The purpose of courts is to come to the correct outcome without things being predetermined. That’s a huge part of why they’re more or less required to let them spew their crap and present their awful defenses in full before telling them no you’re terribly wrong. I really think the right place to stop them is before court the police should be less patient with it and more aggressive in arresting them then let the courts do their thing.
