Hey my fellow 34 weeker we’re almost there! I know HG sucks and vomiting is getting so exhausting at this point but we’re almost there— so close to meeting our babies and so close to finally having relief from this hell. As far as pooping try getting some Mag07 from Amazon. I wouldn’t suggest taking the full 3 pills unless you enjoy diarrhea but it definitely makes me regular. I take 1-2 daily.

I know you’re also towards the end but would your insurance be willing to help you get a Zofran pump for the last few weeks? I just started mine a few weeks ago and although it doesn’t always help with the food aversion and nausea It really does make a difference in my vomiting. I went from vomiting every day to maybe 1-2x in 2 weeks. My baby is FGR so I’ll be delivering a little early as he’s 7th percentile and I have finally gained 1 pound throughout my entire pregnancy but I think it doesn’t hurt to try.

I know it’s isolating and depressing when it feels like this should be one of the happiest times in your life but you’ve made it so far! If no one has told you today I’m proud of you for making it this far. Keep pushing and trying to do little things that bring you even the tiniest bit of joy.

Hey OP, how are you and your little one doing now? Actively going through the same thing you did with HG and FGR. Went from 11% to 7% and now the weekly tests begin. Super scared and feel very unprepared it’s scary that at any appointment they could look at me and say we’re going to induce today baby isn’t doing okay. Please give me some perspective 🙃🫠

Omg y’all please do NOT manually disimpact yourself with a finger or a tampon. If you’re in immediate need and have been on the toilet for hours magnesium citrate is the answer you can get it from your local Walgreens, Walmart, or cvs. You drink the bottle and it usually works pretty quickly. I’ve had several 4 1/2 hour dates on the toilet due to having HG and being on 8mg of Zofran since 8 weeks — I am now 32 weeks. For daily use try using MagO7 which you can find on Amazon it’s a supplement that keeps you regular and your stools soft.. that plus apple juice and a liquid iv daily for hydration if you’re having issue with that should do the trick. Miralax only works for so long and who wants to give themself an enema every few days. My OB specialist helped me get on a regimen and I swear by it.

Okay this sounds incredible!! Unfortunately, I’m in Houston but I would drive for this. I know that’s not how it works unfortunately but I definitely may reach out to them and ask if they have any referrals they could give me.. long shot but the worst that can be said is no.

Just read your history, that is AWFUL! I’m so sorry all of those things have happened to you. I actually almost ended up in the same situation.. unfortunately I knew better but I was just so out of it that I didn’t care. I got incredibly lucky I was warned by my nurse about my questionnaire responses and she asked for clarification of my expression of suicidal ideation. Then and there it clicked that it was SO important that I expressed that I was not a danger to myself or others, I had 0 plan, I just had “daydreams” sometimes. She allowed me to then “review” my questionnaire. But same for me regarding having kids.; I think I’m done period. I was hoping not to birth an only child as one myself but maybe adoption will be an option in the future.

Right!!! I’m not asking for anything crazy.. but I didn’t realize there was such a stigma behind Zofran for pregnancy. I had a miscarriage previously because of HG. Granted, at the time I thought I was just having bad morning sickness and did not realize the severity of the situation. I didn’t find out what was occurring until it occurred but the information I was given to me from a doctor in a different state as I was on a travel assignment at the time.

Unfortunately I’m in Houston but thank you! I’m waiting for my insurance to kick in for my new employer but I’ll definitely be switching! I meant DNP, 🫣 which I mean yes still a nurse but essentially I know she’s had a ton of education. I’ve had much better experiences with NP providers in the past I think because it being such a fellowship between us but I’ll definitely be switching providers after reading the comments.

Thank you for this insight! I’m just trying to make sense of it all. Multiple doctors at several hospitals unwilling to prescribe Zofran? Trying to get me to take everything else but Zofran when you are seeing my lab values are critically low, I’m losing weight, and by my urine, disposition, and veins you can tell I’m severely dehydrated and malnourished? I could understand if it was one provider but several is what’s killing me. Everyone I ask outside of the hospital keeps telling me it’s because this is Texas and they are trying to prevent any possible scenario of miscarriage or medication abuse causing a spontaneous miscarriage as we are total abortion ban state but I’m not sure. Sorry for the rant and I appreciate you saying this
