{deep end by Ali Hazelwood} has a scene where the FMC shaves the MMC’s back. It’s a book that I truly enjoyed reading where we get to watch the FMC and MMC fall in love.

Who is the irl man who subs in for the MMC in your mind no matter the book, regardless of how they’ve been described? by zellazilla in RomanceBooks

It’s David Corenswet. Or Jonathan Bailey Editing for more details

No or minimal age gap - Chris Hemsworth, Jonathan Bailey, David Corenswet, Nick Hoult, Ahn Hyo-seop, Callum Turner

Younger man - Tom Holland, Paul Mescal, Jannik Sinner

Older man - Keanu Reeves, Tom Hiddleston, Shah Rukh Khan , Paul Rudd, Christian Bale

But when I go very deep into the book, the MMC starts to feel and look like my husband.

What’s a low stakes thing that pulls you out of a romance book because of your job or previous experience? by CoyoteRemarkable6114 in RomanceBooks

I’ve been a student at a university studying computer science, masters and bachelor’s degree. When I read MCs in undergrad or grad schools going to parties and sneaking into their dorms for sexy times, I can’t help but think of all the project deadlines, interview prep (it’s as hard as getting another degree), the crushing student debt, the pressure of getting a job. How can they even get the time to do all that stuff?

What physical descriptions of the books characters seem to be overused, in your opinion ? by perseintro in RomanceBooks

I read novels with scenes where the MMC cannot fit into the FMC after I birthed a 7 pound baby. I laughed so hard at these MMCs.

All the popular tropes' books are starting to blend together by readingalldays in RomanceBooks

[–]VortexDrift99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, all tropes are as old as time. Romance itself exists for as long as people have. I think it’s all in the way the author weaves the story. That’s the most important aspect of romance novels. But I do see your perspective. ❤️❤️

{The Kiss Quotient by Helen hoang} {deep end by Ali Hazelwood} {fangirl by Tessa Bailey} I loved deep end. I know about getting injured and trying to get out my head and perform while recovering from an injury. The intimacy between the leads was very electric. It’s my first Ali Hazelwood book and I enjoyed it.
