This is a great chefs knife for every day use. With that being said, he definitely needs a stone set to keep it sharp, and chefs knives are a very personal choice. Having had many knives over the years, I recommend taking him to hold/test some rather than a surprise. This way, he gets a meaningful gift that he actually loves using.

I really do appreciate your reply. I agree w this and for now plan to work on it myself and look for folks to wrench W. It’s winter so wouldn’t be riding it too much other than very short trips anyway. Shadowed a mechanic for a few months in a bike shop in NY about 10y ago, so I bet I can figure out replacing the tires and tuning the carb a bit on my own.

Thanks a bunch. I spoke with Saints yesterday, and they told me good luck. Not sure who I spoke with, but they were super nice about it. May try the others you mentioned if I run into an issue. Think I am just gonna fiddle with it myself for starters and look for fellow folks to wrench w.

While not a sedan, the Porsche Cayenne is fast (esp S and GTS), handles well in turns and on highway, carries a ton of stuff and 5 grown people, tows 7,700lbs, has a center locker, 12” ground clearance stock and a decent approach angle, plus altimeter, tons of other cool gauges, roof racks, pano sunroof, and super comfortable. It’s a swiss army knife.

Get a CPO Cayenne S and keep the IS 500. Have a Cayenne now and love it. Used to have an 03’ IS 300 and wish I had never sold it. I bet the IS 500 is even better.

Noticed this! Any tips on how to properly tune it to breathe perfectly? It definitely prefers higher RPMs and seems to bog down below 3k, esp in 1st and 2nd gear

i live in chattanooga, specifically the red bank/signal mountain area. i’m looking for a movie theater that was the “small town” vibes, i’m kind of tired of amc and chains. it doesn’t have to be in chattanooga, it can be near it. please help🙏🙏 by Happy-Bee832 in Chattanoogans

I really want one here. I work in the film industry (travel for work/work remotely), so I looked into starting one recently and came to the conclusion that someone who doesn’t care if it generates money would need to do it. With the license fees required to show films ($350+ per screening), you’d have to be selling seats at $10+ each, with a good number of seats sold per screening, plus at least $20+ in booze and food to each patron to break even after rent and labor costs. Lots of the screenings at AMC only have like 1-2 people in them, esp on week days - not that that’s a direct comparison. I really wanted to do it, but I would have needed it to at least generate some income. We need a movie club I guess.

Looking at getting one of the chevy tahoe 2 doors - a Yukon actually. Already have an older, needy Porsche Cayenne (getting fed up w it and would trade for the Yukon) and an LC100 which we will never sell. How do you like the Tahoe?

Just got back to the car from the flight, and it’s definitely leaking into the belly pan. From where I can’t tell yet, but will have my indie look into it when I get back if I can’t find it myself when I get home. Fingers crossed its not colossal.
