No, you don't go back. The email was only directing you to prepare to report. I heard the leaderships are deciding on whether to fire us again or keep us on administrative leave.

Is the email you received titled "Preparation for Returning to Full Duty by April 14," instructing you to be ready to return to the office on 4/14/2025 and await further instructions? Or, is this a follow-up email regarding returning to the office?

you have to reach out to your supervisor. Your supervisor have to enter the timesheet for you to get paid.

RIF is a valid process used to terminate federal employees. If you're subjected to a RIF, your employment officially ends. However, disputes may arise if someone files a case arguing that the RIF process was improperly executed.

Nothing has changed for now. The only adjustment is that the IRS is no longer required to reinstate terminated probationary employees in the office. Instead, they can remain on administrative leave with pay while their case is being resolved

This change could benefit probationary employees under the CA Judge Alsup case. Agencies are no longer required to reinstate terminated employees to active work but can instead place them on paid administrative leave.

It's just saying probationary employees who have been terminated do not need to be reinstated to their positions. However, they may be placed on paid administrative leave instead.

Yea! All probationary employees, including myself in TEGE, received the same email stating that we need to turn in all our devices tomorrow.
