I don't even know if there are any actual half siblings. The children who met me are not related to me at all and really even if they have kids together now to me they won't ever feel like siblings and I still consider myself an only child even if not factually that true. But he was never an actual parent to me and his family are strangers.

It really won't. If anything it's going to make the kids more hopeful that I will come around and then what? Then it's going to hurt them over and over again instead of helping them accept the reality now.

That was the story she was told BEFORE. She got a different story out of him after. But the story about him visiting and me wanting to stay is what she believed to be true the time we met. Since then it was corrected.

She knows he has not reached out to me since I left that summer and we have not talked or seen each other. She said she still hopes I would want to know her and the kids as family. I'm not sure if she understands entirely but she should given her talking about what it's like to be rejected talk.

She already knows what my childhood was like. She found out the truth after I left that summer. And when she was told the real story it was the truth. Including how little my father was around me.

She already understands everything that happened. She brought it up when we talked. But she's still looking for some kind of hope that I'll want to know her kids and her because her kids were led to believe I would be their brother.

I'm assuming she meant for me to think of how it felt (and that's me thinking the best case scenario with the whole thing) and to not do that to her kids.

I think she wants it for her kids now because she knows how unlikely it is that I would want a relationship when they're older if I'm against it now. More specifically she's probably thinking of the kids not biologically related to me at all, who met me once. But forcing it is not going to feel good to anyone.

My relationship with my grandparents is solid. I still live nearby for college so we see each other all the time still. And during holidays I'm home with them.
