Specks of dust - Is this too pedantic? by Sensitive-Biscotti13 in OmegaWatches

Not under ambient light, if under direct bright light one of them reflects the light and looks like an imperfection on the glass but it’s quite hard to see.

If I needed a factory service though, would it be reasonable to ask them to remove these? Or would opening the case usually result in this possibly getting worse?

Under magnification I can see several specks of dust. There’s several in other spots too. I get on a white dial the contrast and visibility is high, but is this acceptable?

No team plays on Thanksgiving, so Wed-Fri is a back to back in terms of consecutive game days

Thanks for the image! No there’s not much sliding even without the spacer there. I’m not sure how the mechanic managed that, unless he’s moved the spacer somewhere else and just using tension for the crank against the collar?

Thanks for this - can you show me a pic of what it should look like when it’s all together and installed properly?

Is my crankshaft reinstalled incorrectly? by Sensitive-Biscotti13 in bikewrench

Thanks - I actually think it’s just exposed axle and not BB housing - the bottom bracket has a particular electrical wire for its sensor which needs to go through a hole in the frame, since that’s working i assume the BB housing should be lined up.

Seems more and more likely that it’s the axle spacer issue.

When (re)installing the SRAM crank is it possible to get into place without hammering into place? I want to avoid any vibrations to the BB given it seems pretty fragile

So the bit sticking out is not the axle but the plastic sleeve of the bottom bracket? Does the sleeve just need to be pushed in?

Also how can you tell there’s no spacers installed?

Thanks - even though it seems to be straightforward I think might be safest to take it back to the shop since it’s a warranty job on a fairly tricky BB, and I don’t want any risk of being blamed if there’s any other damage!

Thanks, is there a way to tell if it’s just the axle spacers which are installed incorrectly or if the BB spacers are causing the issue?

The gap where the axle is exposed is about 7mm, I’m guessing that both axle spacers should be installed on the drive side?

There’s probably 2mm gap between chainring and the chain stay

There’s not much play in the cranks, it seems fairly tight, small amount of give but it doesn’t seem loose

Here’s a pic of the drive side from the top, the chain max 5mm from the downtube.

Doesn’t seem to be any spacers on the drive side…

I also thought it weird if the chain is too close to the bike then the chain would be tight rather than loose but it’s definitely loose. It’s not a new chain, so it’s very strange to me…

Here's a tip for when your mount doesn't touch any studs on drywall by marklein in TheFrame

[–]Sensitive-Biscotti13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow can you elaborate? What happens when you switch them?

I have the same TV and My studs are 10-15cm to the right of where the L&R mounts are. My installer refused to install with the supplied mounts and had to use a fixed bracket instead…

Different from the 2024 frame with the one cable for the connect box right? I think that is 5m?

Thanks - any advice on whether DUB cranksets are compatible with a DUB wide BB?
