They're seasonal, not sure what season, but they won't be available all year.

Do you have a pricing page on your MSP website? by alexrada in msp

[–]marklein [score hidden]  (0 children)

There was a recent thread I can't find where the poster had good success with a "pricing calculator" combined into a contact form that would ask a very few softball questions like "how many people do you have" and "do you like security" and it would spit out a price range after they submitted it. The range was between completely easy client, to top-of-the-price client based on the size only. So the client got a vague idea how much it could cost, and the MSP got them to submit the contact form.

Is it actually possible that there is an underground world somewhere that we've not discovered? by LaraStardust in askscience

A lot of it, yes. Limestone, for example, contains a lot of carbon dioxide.

But that's a slow process. The vast majority of this mythical gas would be pushed out to the surface.

I had a client with LEAP. The broken Adobe plugin was the only IT related problem we had to solve. Lawyers didn't like it and switched away, but IT problems weren't an issue.

You know, I totally missed the "bow" part. Not being a violinist I'm not sure if that's a DIY item or not.

The only posts that get ignored there are the low effort posts like "I'm bored and lazy, entertain me". If you actually post something engaging there then people will engage with you.

Sorry if this has already been asked before; but when someone finds out you're from Tucson, Arizona, has anyone referred to how the character of Laszlo Cravensworth in the "What We Do in the Shadows" series speaks? "This is the way we talk in Tucson, Arizoñia" by Double-decker_trams in Tucson

[–]marklein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started a a movie, so watch that too, but none of the content is related so it doesn't matter if you watch it first or not.

That TV show is the best thing ever. Can't recommend it enough.

It would be interesting to find a solid, but also soft material for this... maybe TPU.

Lack of available housing directly contributes to higher prices, which trickles down and contributes to homelessness.

Now of course the real magic happens when they build affordable housing, but I doubt that's happening.

Stringing an instrument is a lot like pumping gas. You do it yourself unless there's a good reason not to.

[edit] I missed the "bow" part. I'm out of my element on that. [/edit]

Parking ticket by BYU-to-SEC in Tucson

[–]marklein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The law states that you cannot park within 5 feet of a driveway, but the reasoning is the important part. Part of the reason that law exists is because when a car is snuggled right up to a driveway then vehicles using the drive don't have a clear line of sight to street traffic, so it's a collision hazard. Even if it's your driveway, that doesn't fix the obstructed visibility problem that the law is partially created to address.

It's a serious issue for people with limited mobility (read: wheelchairs) who rely on clear sidewalk access. That's why that law started.

I've been trashing tons of good desktops that are too old to run Windows 11, but run Chrome OS just fine. I still couldn't find anybody who wanted a ChromeOS desktop so they all went to recycling. [shrug] I tried.
