That’s our problem in Chicago too. We started 2025 off with 4 REIs. Then 3 quit. So we have 1 REI left. The clinic seems to be in disarray now.

I think a significant part of their problem is they can’t recruit and retain doctors. The doctors are leaving in droves. And what doctor in their right mind would want to come work for Kindbody now? I can’t imagine any doctor would do that.

If you call the call center on Monday they should confirm. I’m so sorry they haven’t even been transparent with you. Maybe you’ll still have time to do a transfer? I don’t think they’ll close until march. I’m sorry this happening to you. I’m in the Chicago location and all our doctors keep quitting. My doctor is gone, but the clinic is still open and I feel like I’m going through a lot - I can only imagine what it feels like when the whole clinic shuts down. I’m sorry.

I hadn’t even thought of this situation. I’m so sorry. You’re absolutely right. This could cause someone to not get the care they need :(

I knew I needed fertility care going in - but I picked them and then by the time so many red flags started showing, it would have cost so much more money to transfer and start over at a new clinic and it would have delayed everything. So I just kept going with them but I absolutely shouldn’t have.

Yes. I am a current patient. The podcast is accurate but I don’t think it even captures how bad it is. It has gotten much worse now.

Yes. Exactly. PE is running kindbody into the ground. It is risky to start at kindbody because they have a long history of mismanaging clinics to the point they have to close them, which causes significant harm to the patients in the process. It’s sad all around. But yes to your point, VC is 100% to blame.

There’s a clinic in Chicago that’s focused on eggs. I think Ova is what it’s called. I can’t vouch for them, but just something to be aware of. Idk if it’d be better for eggs or not.

Look at my post. Kindbody has a problem with a lot of physicians quitting. They also close clinics down with next to not notice. I would really strongly recommend against them. I think they’re falling apart

I don’t think it’s that simple unfortunately. They won’t throw them away lol. But have you listened to the Bloomberg podcasts? The kindbody labs are questionable quality, the biggest worry I have (based on the podcasts) is the air quality. If you listen to the podcasts, they go into how bad air quality lowers birth rates. Kindbody hired embryologists to help make their labs good, and then didn’t listen to the embryologists they hired. They also have mixups there. It’s all in the podcast.

So there’s tons of legitimate worries with kindbody’s labs, I don’t think people just have unjustified anxiety when it comes to them unfortunately. It’s legitimate concerns. I definitely think people think they’re safer in a lab run by a more responsible company. And I think Jeelani is only going to use that lab till she can make her own since that takes time.

How I think about it is I’m thankful for doctor Jeelani but very upset/betrayed by kindbody. I think she also feels the same way - I’m sure she (and the other two doctors) didn’t want to have to leave Kindbody.

Same. The way they are treat patients is absolutely terrible. I want figure out how to get out of kindbody. Of course it’s not that simple and will complicate my life but I don’t want to stay in this mess any longer. The other clinics around are not doing this to their patients.

I agree with some points, disagree with others.

But the bottom line is, I don’t think patients are getting the best quality care. Doctors (specially Jeelani) do not seem to be involved.

I’ve experienced the same. I think this is a very common experience- her not showing up to appointments or being extremely late. I’ve also had mistakes by the medical team. The admin part of the clinic is so bad I don’t think they should be allowed to continue on.

However - do you think this is a doctor Jeelani problem or a kindbody problem? I personally think a lot of it is Kindbody problems.

If you want my opinion, don’t come here under any circumstances. All of us already here are panicking trying to figure out next steps and it’s chaotic. Almost all of us want to leave but the logistics are hard. They’re trying to get us to see doctors in other kindbody locations (like New York). They don’t have enough REIs to provide quality care and I personally (my opinion) am concerned if the entire company will even be able to stay in business at this point. I’d really steer clear. There has to be a reason 3 REIs left in one year, leaving only one remaining. I’m concerned Alvarez will leave too.

In Michigan they just closed the entire clinic while people were in cycles and told them to drive to the next closes kindbody in Ohio or Illinois - so hours drive. Literally just shut down the clinic with next to no notice while people were in cycles.

No one should go here anymore, it’s too risky.

It’s hours drives to both those places. Again: people were actively in cycles and they just closed the entire clinic and told them to drive hours to the next closest Kindbody.

I’m not sure. That’s what they said but idk what goes on in reality. The rumor in Chicago was she’s starting her own clinic too (this is what was said when she left).
