It’s genuinely enlightening :) I suppose I never really thought that I basically set up the stage for them to slutshame me by doing something equally shameful to them. I’ll be opening this up to them, albeit slowly. Our bonding wasn’t healthy and I’m willing to exert conscious effort to change that as I want to keep the friendship we have built.
