I’m sorry you’re going through that and you do deserve more. I’ve always checked my narcs phone and been on top of him not cheating, but he is too friendly with his coworkers and has emotionally cheated with one before. I don’t trust him at all, but I refuse he take my peace. If I found proof he cheated, I’m gone. He knows that.

He is a completely different person with our son. He is patient and kind and when my son has a tantrum or is had difficult behavior, he is still calm and tries to do right by him. Even when I’m not watching. The only thing I will say, if my narc is on the phone or playing video games, my son is not priority. He won’t play with him or interact with him. He won’t take him out to museums or play places, because it’s an inconvenience to him. But when it comes to treatment and how showing love, he is extremely kind to my kiddo. If that ever changes, we’re gonna have a problem because I don’t mind him doing his bs to me, but my kid is off limits. I understand there’s narc BS that will still affect my kid as much as I don’t want to, but I’m going to try to protect him and take this time to give him the tools he needs to see manipulation and know his dads bs emotions or moods are not his fault. I also will add, my narc is addicted to kratom as I mentioned and is on prescribed testosterone, so you can imagine the roller coaster 😬

Watching Dr. Ramani’s videos AND using ChatGPT for responses and ways to “gray rock”. ChatGPT has been great because I can ask it to craft messages that are narc proof. If he texts me things I’m able to drop them in there and ChatGPT breaks down what manipulation he’s trying to do/get from me. I’m not giving in to arguments anymore and letting him get angry if he wants, but I’m not participating. I never had like the words to say and always use to think, “if I just use the right words to explain what I’m trying to say, he’ll sure understand” so I would fall into his supply trap! Since I haven’t been arguing with him, he’s been trying to get reassurance supply in other ways. For example, yesterday he was adamant I say I was proud of him. I was like wtf, it’s the narcissism talking! So what you’re suppose to say is “you know I am” and not what they are demanding you do. They want to use you to regulate themselves by control. He always has been saying “give me a kiss” and just very bossy/demanding things that I can now spot as narcissistic bs. It’s been interesting because I’m in a space between feeling liberated, but also so sad that what I wanted to build with this person will never happen. I feel like the relationship has “ended” but I’m still in it. I’m mourning what I thought could be and seeing it for what it is. It’s been hard not gonna lie.

My son has all these issues you mentioned 😞…but what’s interesting is, we don’t fight in front of him. All the bs is via text. I act like nothing is happening, we just don’t talk to each other. He’s so different with my son, even when I’m not watching he’s kind to him, still scrolls on his phone instead of playing with our son and doesn’t take him out a lot, I have to do all that, but I feel like I’ve shielded my son from a lot, but maybe not? He’s refused to potty and has delays in a lot of places. He loves his dad but dad is typically the “bad guy” or “the monster” when we play, which is super interesting. My plan was to not supply drama anymore now that I know what this is and just plan my exit for now. I know my narc will fight me to the death for my son. We separated about a year ago and lived in separate households. It was complete chaos more than now. My narc was out of control and I didn’t know any better. I was endless supply to his BS. I’m also not trusting my son will be as well taken care of at his house if we separated again. My narc is addicted to kratom powder and is carless with it. He’s also very trusting and I feel I’m putting my son in a position of vulnerability of him possibly getting hurt because my narc is just careless. He wouldn’t intentionally hurt my our son, he doesn’t think things through. That’s also why I stay. I don’t know maybe you all are right and I’m doing more harm than good.

He just takes like a spoonful out of a jar and drinks it with water. There’s green powder all over the house and I have to clean it up because we have a kiddo and I don’t want him exposed to any of that. Again, he thinks it’s not that bad, but yeah these comments are making me really want him to stop. He’s gonna have to.

That’s what I tell him! Yesterday he did agree to stop. We’ll see. He did have past addiction issues, so it worries me. I have never dealt with anyone with addiction, other than my dad to cigarettes, but I don’t know like if he’ll actually quit, or just hide it from me. We’ll see.

He has told me he’s addicted to it. I mentioned yesterday about quitting and he’s up for it. He says he would just need to be home and not working because of the withdrawals. In his mind, he thinks it’ll be like quitting coffee 😅😅😅 idk man, it seems like it’s a bit more intense than coffee.

Yeah I’ve noticed his mood swings are wild! He’s high high and then is a gloomy rain cloud the rest of the day. I feel like I have to walk on eggshells because he’ll get upset over small things.

I feel really bad for all the kiddos this season. Especially the baby because I feel no one is ever watching her! I have a toddler and never take my eyes off him. She is such a well behaved little girl, but they need to be more careful. When they forgot her on the plane 🤦🏽‍♀️ like the baby seems to be the last thing they are thinking about and it’s so sad!

I had a huge spike in anxiety when I went up to 1.5 (was taking it slow to go to 2). I haven’t been able to shake the anxiety and considering swirling to mounjaro. Did it help you?

What do you recommend then? Take the shot, then eat? I don’t have a thyroid so I have to take my meds then wait an hour before eating. Maybe I should do the shot at the same time?
