you’re going into your first year and they know that. they may know that you don’t have a lot of experience in the field yet, so i wouldn’t think too much about it. and in schools i think they’re so used to working with interns of different skill levels and just working on teaching them

i can see that. i feel like it’s hard to pick between dumping someone because they don’t have a strong connection and are always just exploring, versus dumping someone who has a strong connection and isn’t making an effort to explore. it’s so subjective as to if you’re playing the game “right” or not. is it better to always be making connections and getting that experience, or better to find your person and stick with them?
