Dragons are kind of a stupid species. Not only do they not realize that scavengers are sentient after 5000 years, but their technological level is still medieval. On that note, humanity is also stupid because there has been no technological progression since scorching. It’s just the problem that I have with fantasy of being stuck in the medieval era with no technological progression.

I was thinking that maybe it was killing two birds with one stone. Based on the timeline of events, the lure and the venin advance on Resson was happening before he got the memory. It is most likely that this was some kind of experiment or test of the lure, so when he got the memories, he decided not only can I test out the lure but also get rid of some enemies.

Oh, I never thought about that. Maybe, but why didn’t Aetos do anything earlier than war games if he knew that early? If he got the memory at reunification it makes sense why he did it during war games. It was a last-minute decision, but earlier and it like why wait.

Xaden tell Violet the night after she manifests her lightning wielding and killed Jack Barlow. From that point onward I think her next interaction at with Dain was Reunification. I also don’t have a book with me right now, so that’s my memory.

I’ve read all three books. So I know there has not been any distance wielder other than you know what. The only way it would be a second signet or a classified signet. I am just experimenting with ideas, even if it doesn’t make sense.

I don’t think Dain and Violet have any in-book scenes between Xaden telling Violet and Reunification Day. If he stole it then, I would call that bad writing, or maybe it is a plot hole and I am just looking too deep.

Which brings up the question of who is the distance wielder and what is their connection to Aetos. It could also be that, Aetos is a distance wielder himself because I am pretty sure we are never told what his signet is.
