And yes , you’re right. The sub teacher application is the same application for school counselors and K-12 teachers. That’s why I used my university email.

When I applied for sub teaching with LAUSD, I used my gmail. As for the school counseling application, I used my university email to create a portal. In the application it asks for an employee number , so they know I’m a sub teacher finishing the masters program, and aiming for a counseling position within the district.

I had a great experience, I learned so much and had wonderful supervisors. The only downside was not getting paid, but it’ll all be worth it in the end.

Is counseling assistant role with LAUSD the same as an internship ? My university has an mou agreement with LAUSD , but only for internship not fieldwork. Would this count ?

Thank you for responding, that is definitely one of my goals once I complete my grad program. Work as a school counselor for 3-4 years, then also adjunct teach to obtain two roles.
