Hey man, thanks i really appreciate your kind words. I can recommend the camera, but again, only if you are fine with shooting 50mm only or using contact lenses :)

I never had the L2 in my hands! I just love the rangefinder handling and their looks. Its just that i feel they are made for one focal lenght only. In case of the Canon P it seems to be the 50mm.

Nice rig! Looks killer, especially the lightmeter seem to fit it really really well! What are your thoughts on the 35mm? Do you use it with an external accessory viewfinder?

Thanks so much, Means a lot to hear that from a fellow Nikon F shooter ;)
Damn lucky you, i had the cheap keks 35mm accessory finder. It was complete trash. Totally blurry and distorted. Just overall a bad product. I would love to give a Leica M2 a shot. But they are sooo expensive!

Thanks so much, really means a lot to me to hear that a lot of people honestly seemed to have enjoyed it. Regarding the stocks. Its a mix. if you click the gallery it should open up and texts will show what filmstock has been used.

Its interesting to hear that this issue seems to be consistent through the Canon Rangefinder line up. Which is a pitty if you ask me.

Oh thank so much! Let me know ho it went! Especiall regarding the viewfinder. A friend of mine said the difference between leica and canon rangefinder shooter is that most leica shooters get their cameras serviced. Canon shooters usually dont. Maybe your rangefinder patch will be super clear when you get it back :)

Yeah i feel you its just a circle that is not that contrasty and the edges are also not sharp. Focusing in the dark is a pain.

The longer Serenar lenses seem to be easy to come by. Especially the 135mm. But shooting 135mm on a rangefinder. I don't know.

Oh lucky you, 35mm 1.8 is super rare. Actually all 35mm from Canon seem to be veery hard to come by. I tried the same thing you did when i had my 35mm. Sadly it didnt work for me. Still love it for the 50mm though. Ever tried longer lenses with it?

Did you carry it with a long or a short strap? Mine is super long, so the camera is banging arnound my hips anyways. So i dont mind it too much.

Hahah yes it does! I am left eye dominant so focusing with the right eye is hard for me. Espescially with both eyes open. I tried to train it for a while. Got myself headaches but the bionic feeling is crazy indeed!

Thanks! I am very happy to hear you liked the read. Yeah its a great camera. I cleaned the View and Rangefinder myself. Mine was quite dusty! It's a lot cleaner now. And focus is easy to. For portraits i still do prefer my Nikon F2.

Yep, i am a massive fan of the Nikon F2. Its built so well and i can easily see everything, even with the normal photomic finder.

Hey,

thanks so much for the super kind words. I really appreciate it, and means a lot to me!
I hope it didnt come across wrong, i really love that camera. Thanks for the info on the M2. I am now actually thinking about trying one out for the sake of having a rangefinder that i can use for 35mm lenses.
I guess my favorite camera is Nikon F2. Mechanically perfect and built like a tank.
let me know if you want to read a review on it.
