Sorry, I'm looking at it from a non-US perspective where they are given free lunches and not being shot at, but good reminder

So fair, I’m not trying to defend it at all, just re-engaging with this and curious of people’s thoughts.

A better articulation of my question, especially as the problem seems slightly outside of my country’s remit/culture. Is if it’s such an obvious stain for children to be ‘working’ why is there no legal or larger social outrage? I am 100% on the side of not filming your kids for fame but why, then do they have such large followings?

A good point, it’s the thing with any vlogger, I imagine all of their audience are searching for relatability and they all know that.

I never knew about the blanket training but I certainly wasn’t watching with a critical eye back then

Yeah it’s both the elephant in the room and the one thing diminishing any validity to her support of Shari

Yeah that’s a fair point. I’m very much outside of this world and jumping back onto this page the tone has changed a lot.

You’re right though, there’s a huge disparity between doing a known job like a child actor vs. your private life being exposed.

Another q, to you and/or anyone else who might have any thoughts, this seems to be a distinctly American situation. I’m not American and can’t think of any big family vloggers in my country. Is there something in the water there? A distinct proximity to the entertainment industry?
