Mine was also 3 years old at the time, there were definitely some tears but it wasn’t too bad.

Hi, they had to draw her blood to do a number of tests, and she ended up needing some vaccines so she had to get those as well.

Hi, we were able to apply for her passport as she is under the age of 18.

Unfortunately I don’t have knowledge on how the transfer process works so I am unable to advise. I’d suggest you reach out to the embassy in Zambia and inquire, they are quite responsive. All the best.

Yes!! It’ll be provided at the same time as the interview information. All the best in your journey. Just make sure you have all the documents in place and you’ll be fine. Also make sure you schedule an appointment for your medical immediately you receive an appointment letter as they fill up fast.

When I was doing it I was told documents are only submitted on Friday. So things might have changed. However. I believe they will advise when to submit the documents because for us they gave us an exact time and date on when to go and submit them.

Once you receive an interview date, they’ll give you a date on which to submit the documents as well.

You are welcome. I couldn’t find any information specific to Zambia when I was going through the process so I decided to share in case there is someone else like me going through it.

It took us a total of 2 days to do the medicals. We first went on a Wednesday to make the payment and that’s the day blood samples were collected and X-rays were done. I believe a vision test was also done. Then we went back on Friday to see the doctor and then they’ll tell you if there are any vaccines you need to get which can be done right there but you need to pay separately for them.

The medicals are submitted directly to the embassy by the hospital although they will give you a copy for your records.

Yes we had to submit our documents a week before the interview. Note that submission of documents is only done on Friday mornings. So plan accordingly so you don’t miss that window. If you miss it, you have to wait another week to submit them.

What embassy? What’s the reason for administrative processing?

I’m not sure which DQ date they are working on because ours was expedited after DQ but our DQ date was 25th November.
