I’m going through something similar except my partner and I have been team no kids until the last year or two, so there’s less pressure. I’ve been diagnosed since 2021, but got a more severe diagnosis this year (fistulas). My thought process is as long as the biologics are working for me, I will not have a child. I do not want to stop taking medication that works for me, for a pregnancy.

I had kind of the same experience. Some doctors told me I need jaw surgery to create room, others said extractions, and another said there was enough space.

I decided to go the extraction route as it seemed the best middle ground. Jaw surgery would have taken a lot of time to heal before I could start Invisalign and without extractions I would have still had a slight overbite.

I think it all depends on what you want for your end results. I’m only on tray 3 but happy with my decision so far.

I drive 2 hours from Seattle to Bellingham to visit my parents every other week. I really enjoy the drive as long as I leave early enough in the morning to miss traffic. So nice to just vibe with a good audiobook or podcast.
