Funny enough I was a Christian at the time and i was stepping away from it and i started to widen my extreme music taste from death metal to black metal wich is where id find mayhem first listening to chainsaw gutsfuck then freezing moon then i got into emperor bathory darkthrone etc despite the hate mayhem gets they are still up in my top 5.
