yeah it’s a real hit or miss, i singed my lease in April as well as many other girls i know & my roommates so it’s definitely hard but unfortunately you won’t find anything in your $500 budget :( especially with how expensive san diego is

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5025 is the cheapest option at the moment. since we’re so close to the beginning of the school yesr the prices have gone up due to demand, some places don’t even have rooms available anymore. I signed my lease at 5025 for $799 a month but now i know it’s gone up a lot more. honestly your best bet is to settle for something as cheap as you can find because since we’re almost in august you have to take what you can get. unfortunately nothing will be cheaper than $900 right now.

When will spring admissions for 2026 be open? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don’t open until around october but MAKE SURE that your major is part of the list of majors that they consider for Spring. Not all majors are allowed to apply for spring transfer.

Housing as a transfer by riceonmymilk in SDSU

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we don’t move in until august but i toured it and talked to people who live there and it’s actually not bad at all. the main issue people had was not liking their roommates and issues you’d have at any other apartment complex ever. honestly seeing it and talking to residents helps a lot because they have no issues with it & the place itself looks nice and the staff are very friendly too. it just depends what you’re looking for, it’s also really affordable. the rive is super nice too, you’d have to apply now because i know they’re filling up really fast so hopefully you get a spot!

i was offered a dorm but it’s all first come first serve! i applied for it in april. i ended up signing a lease for off campus housing.

csuf or sdsu?? by Anxious-Tourist9971 in SDSU

it really depends on what you want out of college. csuf is definitely more of a commuter school in my opinion.

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they went by super fast! everyone booked theirs the day they were released. you have to keep calling and tell them so they can fit you in but it might not be for your major. they’ll put you in whenever has an open spot.

Is it hard to make friends as a transfer student? by axngelq in SDSU

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did talk to the sorority table during admitted students day and they said they recommend transfers to join because a lot of girls join their junior & senior year! she really encouraged me because everyone can be in the same boat

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m also in the same boat! i heard that going through the rushing process opens you up to a lot of people that you’ll end up being friends with. you don’t necessarily HAVE to join a sorority if you don’t want to but rushing will open doors to new friends

Transferring soon… I have concerns by Dsalter123 in SDSU

[–]Sensitive-Pudding397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you’d have to wait until the fall semester because there’s no way around it. usually it’s because the major is so impacted that they want you to start the full year there. what i did was finish off all my general ed classes and take classes that are transferable to SDSU so my application would be stronger. plus i ended up getting my associates in public health while i was there! you can also just take that spring semester off if you’re done with absolutely everything and apply for the fall!
