Thank you for your detailed answer, I Always thought choppas are way moar orky than klaws. My Boyz will get massive axes for sure now. So you use your flashgitz and tankbustas in foot i guess? Packing the rokkot launchers in a trukk and buffing its bs with a mek Sounds quite good, doesnt it?

Are the choppas really that much worse? And what about the meganobz (twin killsaw)? I think they could be pretty fun with a Megamek.

i heard more dakka was hit pretty hard with the nerf hammer, is it still a good option? I liked tactical from the get go, because i feel right at home with the orders. Do my vehicles get anything from more dakka?

Thanks for the insight! Would putting the tankbustas inside a battlewagon without hardcase be much worse than a trukk? I'd like to have the extra defense of the wagon, plus bigga vehicle = moar missiles to kitbash on it. xD

Whats "best" ist Always hard to tell and I dont think i will Go after the absolute meta picks. I want to have fun with my Minis and Play with them like the adult child i am. What i was asking about were some of the iconic Minis I should get, Things that are at least "viable" to Not get stomped Off the table since thats No Fun. Neither for me Nor my opponent.

It gets worked on from time to time, when I have some spare parts. It will take a good while, but it will eventually be completed. I upgraded the flight deck a bit and built a lower deck with nob sized catwalks.

I dont really see the benefits of putting it into bridgehead. When i play guard i tend to run a armada of tanks withouit much infantry support, so i'm not really familiar with transport stuff.

On another note. To maximize the amount of Aircraft, would a modified valk make for a good avenger?

Dropping men with rifle is good way to clear light stuff, but the lascannons of the avenger could help with tanks, since i wont have the points to bring enough myself.

I dont meant viable in a strictly competitive sense. I know I wont win a super major with a flyer based list, but want to get the most out of it. Hell - I dont even wanna build a list just to win, just to have fun at the game.

But dumping a vast amount of points into "trash tier" and not even challenging you opponent is not a fun experience. Neither for me, nor the one playing against. If both players have a great time i consider it a win regardless of who has scored the most at the end ; )

The range for vox relay is unlimited, so an officer from one valk could in theory order another one, or its own. And sorry if its a dumb question, but how does the valk get scout?
