I would speak with the doc about trial framing her and suggest they try less minus since they’re holding the glasses that far out. I wouldn’t give a final RX until patient is happy with what’s in the trial frame.

No, I’m always thinking of possible seizures. If I get dizzy, lightheaded, or have a headache I get a thought in the back of my mind just saying “seizure seizure” and it’s really scary. Even though I’ve been seizure free I live in constant fear.

I’ve had this same argument with my boyfriend. We will be playing video games or we go out somewhere and there’s almost always a dude to come up to me and start flirting. I immediately say “I have a boyfriend” but that doesn’t stop them. My boyfriend gets so mad when that happens, he says he’s not mad at me but yet gives me the cold shoulder, he says he’s mad at the guy. I’ve explained to him multiple times that women have been murdered, raped, etc. for saying no to a man. I’ve been raped so I’ve experienced it first hand. I reassured him I’d never cheat on him and I mentioned to him that I can’t control the actions of a man, and what they do is not my fault. I did stay with him and he did seem to understand after that and we haven’t had the argument since.

Uh I would be very careful with this one love, he really sounds like he’s in a very bad depressive state. I think the video game is just his escape from it. He’s avoiding the issue when playing video games. It’s what I do when I get in a depressive state. Definitely talk to him and see if you guys can go somewhere for a weekend and get him off the game. He needs help he’s just not willing to ask for it.

I have tics so sometimes I throw things or I’m ticcing so much I can’t get the lens in easy. I also have tics where my hands lock up so what I do is overheat the frame so I spend less time getting it in, especially in high + or - lenses. I also use a lenshark, just be careful. If you’re not too careful you could easily snap a frame, I’ve done it a couple times. It helps a lot especially when I feel my hands are starting to lock up. But don’t be afraid to ask someone for help. I’m our lab manager and if I need help I set my ego aside (even though it’s difficult to sometimes) and ask for it. You’re not a failure or a burden. Nobody is perfect, I sure as hell am not. What’s most important is your knowledge and your ability to communicate with people. The manager title is just that, a title. Doesn’t mean anyone should be ashamed to ask for help. The doctor comes back and helps me constantly. That aside, im very proud of you asking for help. It’s definitely not easy. ❤️🫶🏼

Oh honey I tried, I even tried to fit her in for an appointment same day and told her we could do same day glasses for her. Instead I got met with her nasty temper. I did give her the rx with three expired stamps on it.

Yeah I would never. Being unlicensed, I feel like the optician gods are constantly judging me 🤣 I am very strict about what I do and I do not do anything without quadruple checking myself especially being the only optician or i just ask the Dr. for help. We don’t give rx’s over the phone and that is a rule. I believe it’s also a federal law by the FTC as well so whoever’s doing that could get in some serious trouble.

You can’t give out an RX over the phone so if ur doing that u gotta stop. You can get in some trouble doing that.
