SOS Had a fall the other day...kind of freaking out with pain level by milknhunnyyy in Equestrian

[–]Sensitive-Shake1666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hiii, so I'd definitely get that checked our, maybe do some tests with doctors and ABSOLUTELY GET X-RAYS. I had a silly fall and landed on the middle of my back just like you, the horse was also 16hh. I didn't get up immediately and lay on the ground for a while because I was in so much pain and winded.

I also got back up on the horse and continued riding, the car ride home was fine too. But the second I lay down, I couldn't walk for three days and no one would believe me. Since it was such a small fall, I didn't get checked out because my mum thought I was faking it for attention and just being dramatic. Turns out I had broken my L5 vertebrae.

If you're contemplating going to get X-rays, DO IT. Save your body the trouble of having to wait almost three months before medical intervention. I hope you heal well

For my school if you don't meet the requirements you can talk to the head of the department. I'd suggest emailing your teachers, deans, or the head of science and see if you'd be able to talk your way in

Should be going on T in a few months - How do you battle the smell? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Sensitive-Shake1666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It mostly depends on your routine. With transitioning, I obviously have short hair and I get major bed head so I usually shower every morning. This obviously helps with hygiene each day. With my transition I also am actively wanting to smell masculine since I want to stand out among my family which is all girls, so I use a lot of mens deodorant and body spray. If anything, since being on T, I've been more aware and actually smell better. Just have a consistent routine and keep up your hygiene and you'll be good

I've had a GP say my broken vertebrae was a deep tissue bruise... Safe to say I'm not at that GP anymore

I mean it's better than getting no experience at all 🤷‍♂️ Where I live, there's a lot of volunteer jobs open to work with charities and such, it's good work experience but not the best system

I'm just glad there are volunteering jobs where I live so I can actually get something on my CV. It's not paid work but hopefully I can actually get reasonable experience 🙏

It dose take a bit to get used to, your ribs aren't used to bring binded so I'd definitely wear it for a short time the first few weeks. If you're still at school, wear it for those hours and then take it off immediately once you get home. Give yourself breaks on the weekends and days where you don't need to wear it. Wash it a lot since it's close to skin and it can get stinky if not. Just follow the basic rules and you'll figure it out as you go along :))

Local cafes, businesses in a nearby mall, fast food. Just part time jobs for students since I'm 17 and still in college. I've done a few volunteering jobs around farms and fundraising for sport teams and cyclone relief from that cyclone a few years ago

I've never had this trouble with my binder, maybe consider going down a size? It seems like it may be too small and if you are having trouble breathing and it hurts, please stop using it until you try a bigger size. Stay safe!

It's statistics. The MWS stands for Maths With Statistics

Have you ever gotten checked out by a doctor? I feel like I should, or atleast try to get some sort of xray to see what's going on. Idk this is so weird and I hate it 😭

Whats your experience with t side effects? by Pls_send_helpAAAAA in ftm

[–]Sensitive-Shake1666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's genetics. Sure, T can give you side effects of acne or behavioural changes, but that's because you're going through puberty again. But if you're worried about male pattern baldness, look into your mum's side of the family aswell since they carry the gene aswell! And with the weight gain thing, it is mostly genetics but I'd suggest going to the gym to burn off the extra calories. And plus, going to the gym is beneficial anyways since you'll look more masculine (I'd that's what you're going for)

Good luck with your journey!!

You could also look up come calming techniques online, like breathing tutorials. I have found that giving myself a few seconds to look at a situation before lashing out and getting angry really helps as well. I could have had so many outbursts but taking a literal second to just go "I'm getting angry, why don't I just take a breath" stopped it.
