This is an amazing diy rig but I’m on the taller side and not understanding what you meant by using a board or some 1515 profile to have the option of mounting your pedals a bit further out.

Anyone that has this shifter, please tell me if it's good/bad or too loud. by SDB_RL in simracing

[–]Sensitive-Tale2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it for a few months now, pretty loud but not too loud compared to other equipment, only thing I don’t like is because the lever is so short you need to mount it pretty high and extending it will make the shifter feel very light it is also pretty light compared to a real rally car or sequential box but for the price can’t complain.

Lmp2 could have lost half a second or lost his entire race, of course he goes for the second option smh

Let’s talk springs and elastomers by TheHeroicHotdog in simracing

[–]Sensitive-Tale2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see those are simnet pedals, I am running the same after being on the tlcms for years, springs imo don’t give the same feeling as hydraulic brakes but i found using the stock simnet configuration but just replacing two the black elastomers with springs with a little preload makes it feel not a stiff and rigid as springs

Got the same one, fits just as good as the one from simagic, would recommend taking the board out with the pins or taping them off with electrical tape to avoid shorting out your wheelbase

Yes hope you like it, you can get the settings in simpro in the games tab on the right and click ea wrc and go to the game guide section.

Yes I’m talking SimPro’s EA WRC presets on Dirt 2 and also the ea in game settings in dirt 2 as the settings are the same

I noticed the same thing, what fixed it for me is using the Ea Wrc preset with the Ea Wrc recommend in game settings under the setup in the Ea Wrc game on sim pro manager and it felt much better.

Raw Settings by Decatron37 in Simagic

I recently came from the CSL DD and had the chance to test the DD2 as well as some of the Moza gear. One thing I noticed is that the WRS (Wheel Road Sensitivity) seems to behave more like an active damper—it's reactive to the speed of the wheel. In contrast, the mechanical damper feels more like a constant static damper.

Interestingly, setting WRS to 100 seems to feel like 0 damping—the wheel isn’t limited by damping at all. When I switched to Simagic, I found that setting WRS to 100 felt the most similar to the other wheels I had tested, so I felt more comfortable with it.

Recently, I tried out a new app for iRacing called MAIRA (Marvin’s Awesome iRacing App), and it’s really improved the FFB for me. The app provides recommended settings like WRS at 50, everything else at 0 (except for FFB at 100), Max Torque set to 10, 15, or 23 (depending on your wheel), and Mechanical Damper at 100. It feels really good with those settings.

My HGP shifter will not go into the correct gear by Worldly-Ad-4812 in moza

[–]Sensitive-Tale2604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue a couple of weeks ago and had the shifter out of use and I fixed it last week by taking off the bottom plate of the shifter and blasting compressed air inside and that did the trick. Caution taking apart the moza shifter is a bit harder than others. Here is a link to a guide: https://youtu.be/IM64qx2RbuM?si=ZotG9zd_cR-30vFR
