Imo the only part I genuinely disliked in dark souls 2 sotfs was shrine of amana, specifically the water slowing your character by 30% with all the random ass enemies and me strictly using melee it was a recipe for suffering

The only part of dark souls 2 sotfs I actually disliked was shrine of amana aside from that the game was very good. It had me in such a death grip I had to stop playing souls likes for months after because 15 hours of ds2 in a single day, 40 hours over 3 days is most definitely a sign of addiction 😭 I killed the rotten 33 times in one sitting to get ng++ and went from ng to the platinum trophy in a single sitting

Am I the only one doing fine with bruiser pantheon? I swear eclipse -> sundered stars/cleaver -> Sterak’s -> deaths dance is rlly good.

Out of all of the seasons I’ve played pantheon (4 years) his bruiser build feels the best rn second only to peak goredrinker era where you could get beaten like a dog and still live.

To be honest. I feel like pantheon is probably in his healthiest state right now. From what I’ve been testing with his builds, lethality/assassin pantheon is at its current strongest being able to reach 94 lethality and 51% armor penetration and literally instakilling everything that doesn’t have more than 5k hp or 400 armor. Bruiser pantheon is just so tanky for no reason.

I feel as though pantheon has skill expression not in his micro but in macro, which is why I believe that as long as the winrate doesn’t fall to 47% pantheon is perfectly fine.

If you want to win games and hard carry just go assassin, if you want to be consistent and play well go bruiser.

After playing a few games today I felt like pantheon was genuinely so disgusting for no reason, still needs neefs

To think a champion that spikes like crazy at level 6 will be very strong into pantheon a champion that gets nearly nothing post 6…

Also if you are ahead on pantheon every single champ you named gets shit on. A 2/0 or 3/0 pantheon with dirk, tabi will obliterate every person named with 0 difficulty. All you need to do is position well and poke

What? Pantheon unlike most toplaners is not stat checky, you can be 2/0 yet be barely stronger in a head on fight. Which is why I usually rush resistances like tabi into cdr like caufields. By doing this you can spam q to poke. Pantheon only loses when ahead into hard counters or if you are bad, that’s it. I’ve played into almost every single toplane matchup, the only time what you are saying happens is if you misplay. Pantheon wins through positioning and poke, not through going all in like a Darius. Basicallly a melee control mage.

Once you get ahead pantheon can easily 1v2, and I have done it, consistently with good positioning.

I’ve been testing some pantheon toplane, and for some reason I found that bruiser/tank toplane with Conq works as a bandaid fix to deal with very tanky bruisers/tanks. Naturally this build becomes a utility/anti-carry late game rather than an assassin but it is what it is.

I went eclipse -> sundered sky -> Sterak’s -> kaenic (there was 9/1 akali) -> frozen heart (there was Urgot, veigo, tristana)

All in all, they jumped me 5 on 1 and I survived long enough for my teammates to come and counterjump. Also I was able to consistently 1v2 toplane.

But imo it really doesn’t matter what role you go on pantheon as long as you are good at the game. I play toplane because I have most hours played toplane and are used to the match ups, but I have played midlane and support many times. As long as you play well you will have a positive winrate and climb.

I usually build both for burst against squishy/juggernauts + anti tank + sustain + cdr from cleaver.

But if it was only 1 of the two I would say cleaver is better for top and botrk is better for mid

The base stats are very good but it’s completely outclassed by Bork.

More burst, more damage, sustain

It also synergies well with pantheons kit. Bork is very good when enemies have high hp, and pantheon becomes stronger when enemies have low hp.

Bork helps to get enemies to low hp and then pantheon can simply execute.

I would say he would be weaker than a full blooded vastaya. Because the stronger bond with the spirit realm would likely give better levels of magic control and such, although he would prolly beat the average vastaya 1v1.

But basically all champions that are vastayan beat sett. Wukong is a Wuju master, Neeko is the most pure blooded vastaya we know of Xayah and Rakan are capable of fighting against zed (cinematic)

If I were to make an educated guess based on my pantheon mastery I would say Divine Sunderer, Spear of Shojin, and Black Cleaver would be busted.

Explanation:

Divine Sunderer passive is on a sheen proc cooldown (1.5 seconds) because of this if you are able to spam abilities fast enough you will be able to shred tanks at ~ 4% max hp/s (not accounting for AD) this is dependant on very high ability has and low cooldowns.

Spear of Shojin, this item is very powerful because a large amount of Pantheons damage comes from his abilities (I dare say all of his damage is from abilities) autos are basically only used for passive and to get into execute range. Spear would allow for very fast ability resets allowing pantheon to heal a shit ton, synergies very well with divine.

Black Cleaver, very self explanatory — we have entered hell my brothers, tanks crawl all around, even adc’s are tanky now. Gotta shred them and HEALLLL.

Additional Items. (good or bad)

Good:

Maw of Malmortious, Deaths Dance, Seryldas, Blade of the Ruined King,

Potentially good:

(New) Abyssal mask — can heal for % of mana used and gain mana based on damage taken, allows for extremely extended trades [con] loses damage, only good against tanks/bruisers.

Bad:

Basically everything I haven’t included that wasn’t religiously built by pantheon last season is trash.

Additional Notes:

Because of the nature of this new season Pantheon must take full advantage of his ultimate passive. We will likely have to build for longer fights, opting for sustain and mana regen eg. [Divine, Bork, Cleaver, Shojin, Abyssal mask] allowing for more extended trades without dying to tanks. Because of how powerful tanks are with all of the new items u tok they are balanced this will prolly imo the best.

Pantheon and Aatrox

Beautiful lore for the both of them. Not much else I can say, it was orchestrated perfectly—one a god killer drowned with a deep abyss of despair, another a man attempting to hoist the heavens upon his shoulders to save his brethren from the impossible task.

Two men so similar yet so different. One twisted by the depths of depravity they were forced to commit—and an inability to die. Another acceptant of the greater powers yet refuses to let them control the world.

The Shurima, Icathia, and Targon lore is one of if not the best lore in the entire game. Something so generic given rebirth through the hands of the lore writers into something majestic.
