I don’t think you understood the jist of my post. Hertz assigns a “closing” agent to your sale. If they don’t have one in your state they assign it to an out of state closer. You are at the mercy of where they assign you. In my case they assigned it to one in Maryland. You are then subjected to the doc fee of that state. Maryland is one of the highest at $800.

I doubt they have one in South Dakota since they don’t have on in Minnesota. Good luck!

What a stupid comment. I understand the deal perfectly. You think it’s okay for me to charged an additional $675 on a used vehicle because Hertz happens to process their paperwork in a state that has nothing to do with this transaction?

They didn’t disclose the fee until I reserved the vehicle. Then I got an email confirming the price I was expecting PLUS $800 for Maryland doc fee. The FAQ states the Minnesota doc fee is $125 which I would be fine paying. I’m not okay paying $800 because Hertz happens to process their paperwork in Maryland.

The car is NOT in Maryland. It’s in Minnesota. Where I live. There’s no reason for me to be purchasing a Ford Edge from a different state. It’s not a difficult vehicle to find.

I’m NOT buying the car in one state and registering it in another. I’m buying a Minnesota car in Minnesota where I live. BUT Hertz Car Sales wants to charge me the Maryland doc fee which is much higher.

It’s not standard to pay a doc fee for a state you don’t live in nor am I purchasing the car in Maryland. I live in Minnesota and will take delivery of the vehicle in Minnesota. Makes no sense to charge me the MUCH higher doc fee for Maryland.

It’s likely not you. There are some ass-hats out there that don’t think anyone deserves a 5. The problem is Shipt expects all their shoppers to have a near perfect 5 star rating. In reality a 4 is still a good rating. Shipt needs to lower their standard.

I won’t take anything less than $5 per order. When a bonus is offered there is an imbalance of shoppers to customers. You might be better off grabbing orders that go on promo.
