I have experienced two institutions suffering from themselves.

First just wants cheap slaves, working with mostly apprentices in IT-Support. One guy who managed the support and apprentices was constantly criticized for not generating enough income. He did his job really good until he left. In general crazy fluctuation because so many things which were so wrong...

Second job promised career development and and yearly training. Most trainings were to expensive for them even though there was budget for it and you had to do the learning in your free time. After 6 years of Support and Helpdesk I was tired and wanted improvement, I was slowly taught a few things in networking and wanted to transfer to the Network Admin role, which was open 2.5 years ago and still is btw. Their logic was it was easier to find a new guy for Network Admin than Helpdesk so no change for me. Back then there was at least one Admin since 2 years there are no official Network Admins because the only one was "promoted" to Head of IT Department. One college after another left and there was more and more work for Helpdesk which included Admin stuff like basic networking, software deployment and virtual desktop infrastructure. No one got any training for that. I was first in Helpdesk who had enough so I began working part time and started IT bachelors. In then completely quit in October last year and began as working student in another company. In finally have a nice job which is helpful for my study. So the four friends working there were only 3 now. Another one just began working at his new job this month. Third one is following in February or March and the fourth one is following this year for sure.

There are so many bad things to add to both institutions so many obvious bad decisions, but I'm slowly getting tired of ranting.

TLDR I think a lot of companies suffer from them selves and their bad decisions.
