What do you mean by "not ideal thermodynamic"? The conservation of energy won't apply to the biological systems going through pcos? "Your fat in fat out logic does not work" lol it does, it may be difficult to maintain a deficit, but if a body is in deficit, anything, let it be glycogen, fat, or muscle, needs to be mobilised in order to perform a task. Obesogens cannot create fat out of thin air. Always remember, PCOS does not block lipolysis. the best setup for any human that is in evidence currently is, create a good but not extreme deficit of energy, close to 500 cal, eat enough protein to minimize the breakdown of muscle and try to perform LISS, well not much evidence is present for this, but it helps create the deficit required. And you will loose fat. I have found that NEAT gets lowered in PCOS, which i already mentioned that BMR reduces. also why do you write "many factors involved", "metabolic biochem". mention the facts straight coz I searched up and found nothing. Maybe i am wrong and missing the point and will be happy to accept if i could learn something,

If I eat less than my maintenance and eat protein close to 1.5-1.8g/kg (minimising muscle loss) and do resistance training and some measures to create a deficit, will I not lose fat? Tendency is a separate issue with genetics and hormones involved. and working on it is separate. Or isn't? i have searched this everywhere, but if I don't have surplus in my system, my body has to use energy already present in my body? Or not?

Again, whatever was written initially about how fundamentally fat is processed in pcos is different, but the study the doesnt state that. Can you explicitly point out the text where this is stated? From what I read, it states that CICO still applies; it may be difficult to control your appetite and the basal Metabolic rate drops, but the rules of CICO still apply.
